Albaugh Ranch Guest House

Enjoy a taste of the country in a privately owned home nestled on the 400 acre Albaugh Ranch in the beautiful Fall River Valley. The Albaugh Ranch has been a part of the family for over a century and we are delighted to share its beauty with you. The ranch has operated as a cattle ranch as well as grown hay, wild rice, potatoes, strawberries, garlic, peppermint and berries.
With exquisite views, this is the perfect wedding venue! Lush green lawns and an arbor of maple, walnut and apple trees create an intimate setting, while a backdrop of barns, fields and mountains enhance the array of photographic opportunities, all in one location.
Our guest house offers four bedrooms, two and one half bathrooms, full kitchen and most amenities. Your family or small group (4-10) can enjoy the activities of the area while staying within the comforts of home. New central Heating and Air Conditioning has been installed. The large paver patio, complete with gas grill, is great for barbecues or social events. For those embracing nature, lounge on the lawn and take in the scenery. This working cattle ranch borders the Pit River and is home to fertile pastures, hay and wheat crops, and stocker and cattle pairs. Enduring four generations, this ranch exhibits a warm, familiar feeling of home.
The Albaugh Ranch is just a 10 minute drive from the Fall River Valley Golf Club. This championship 18-hole course has been rated 4.5 stars from 'Golf Digest' and is known for its excellent 'pace of play', large greens and wide fairways. Also nearby are the world class fly fishing streams, Hat Creek and Fall River. Fishing season starts the last Saturday of April and runs through November 15th.

We love this place! We have stayed here four or five years in a row now for our annual golf outing. Tons of wildlife can be viewed in every direction from the house. This year, we saw a coyote and some interesting flocks of birds. Will stay again for sure! Thank you Elena and Stephen!

Comfy ranch house in a peaceful setting with plenty of space for our family vacation with kids, parents & grandparents. The hosts were very helpful with info about the area and made it special for the kids. Easy day trips to Lassen, Subway Cave, and Burney Falls. We are so happy we spent the holiday weekend at this location.

This is my all-time favorite place to stay! The views from the house and the peaceful setting are 2nd to none. I would highly recommend. This was the perfect place for a group of golfers to be while not on the golf course!

The living room was huge and with carpet, so every one would fit in,play poker,n other games all day long!!No complains with wifi.had a nice view of the farm from dining area.had a huge closet full of board games,so never got bored;)!!the bedrooms got a little chilly during night,but with jackets it was manageable!huge kitchen!!overall had a good time all 4 days!!!

Relaxation with beautiful views

We had a great time at the Albaugh Family Guest House. This was everything we needed for a nice, relaxing golf vacation. Plenty of space for our group of 6 golfers and could have easily accomodated a couple more. I especially loved enjoying my morning cup of coffee while admiring the views of the valley below.

Valley Paradise

Our two week stay was the best! Picture window overlooking grazing Angus with a backdrop of snow peaked Mt. Lassen was just the right thing for us to lay back and relax. Host and hostess were more than accommodating helping us out whenever we needed it. We have used VRBO before , but the Albaugh Ranch House is the highest on our list. Big roomy house for a couple of more guests that joined us for a few days. We hope we can stay there again. Can't wait!

We loved the view from the house. Green pasture and cows surrounded by hills and mountains. We also really enjoyed the two very friendly barn cats. The kitchen is well stocked. The house and furniture are dated and have seen better days. But everything worked. The owner, Elena, was very responsive.

A little piece of heaven

Could of not been better. The home was comfy and the views were awesome. I would recommend this for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with all supplies needed for our needs. We were visiting for a wedding and had to prepare a lot of appetizers and food preparation was a breeze. Plenty of beds and gorgeous views from every window. Well manicured lawns and flowers, even had a giant sequoia in the parking area. At night the walnut tree and patio light up for a relaxing evening.

Fishing and relaxing in McArthur

We four adults thoroughly enjoyed the Albaugh ranch house. The kitchen is thoroughly stocked with cooking supplies and equipment. The views from the ranch house are outstanding. Fishing on the Pit River at this time of year is fantastic and the house is centrally located for other outings such as McArthur Burney Falls Park. I would definitely stay here again.
