I didnt get the instructions from Vrbo to check in but once I got a hold of the host, they were able ti ditect me yo the check-in location no problem. Cabin location, view, and hottub were amazing. The cabin was very clean and the fireplace was nice...but bring your own wood! Kitchen had everything you need, but per normal for rentals, utilencils and glass/dish ware was mix matched and cheap quality. HOWEVER - bonus for a fire starter, salt & pepper, and coffee filters.
Check in was easy (must check in at rental office). Space was as advertised. Kitchen was well appointed. Layout of main floor bathroom and shower is a little weird. The shower/tub is IN the bedroom, and toilet/sink are in a different room. Just something to consider depending on the group that is traveling. The unit did have an issue with main floor toilet, the gasket needed to be replaced. One call to the rental office, they had it taken care of within a couple of hours, and this was on a Sunday. Staff is really nice and helpful. Be mindful of your food that sits out on counters; we had to toss out a loaf of bread because a mouse got into it on our last night there. We could hear it scurrying in the walls, but this is to be expected based on where the cabin is located. Not a deal breaker for us, but could be for others. Probably some well placed mouse traps would be helpful.
Easy to get to and right in the heart of town. Very close to all the major hikes, the sky-lift, Miguel’s and the Gorge Underground. Super comfortable place, WiFi is strong.
The check in process was so easy. We arrived earlier than we planned and they were so friendly and helpful! Perfect area, lots of activities and gorgeous sunsets.
Excellent weather, hiking and boating options. Primary suggestion would be improving the fire pit area. It’s on a slope and it is challenging to sit near it. Excellent kitchen, sleeping accommodations and hot tub.
We enjoyed our stay for two nights. Great family time and a place to rest our heads while exploring the Gorge. The cabin was cute and had a gorgeous view of the sunset every night. So close to everything and Loved the location to the natural bridge and the clear kayaks at The Gorge. The only thing I would suggest is more lighting in the cabin.
Beautiful cabin with lovely views. Easily accessible to everything. Had to hunt down balls foosball table back to office on the last day. Our first trip but daughter and son in law said nicest place they have stayed on multiple trips. Would rent again.

Decent “cabin”
The hot tub needs to be replaced and new grill utensils needed. Also the seats on the deck are very uncomfortable
We have stayed in several cabins in the Red River Gorge area. This is one of the top two favorites. My only complaint ...a minor one...was there was virtually no closet (well, there was a narrow one with a big hvac duct in it and 4 hangers) in the downstairs bedroom and no dresser either. But if you don't mind living out of a suitcase, it is a beautiful spot and a great cabin.
Overall the cabin was a nice getaway, no surprises as the listing and reviews were pretty accurate. The house was hard to find as we arrived at night and in the rain. With no lights on it was almost invisible! Would have been helpful if they had turned on the porch lights for us. The downstairs bedroom is a bit cramped with the king size bed and makes the nightstand by the door a hazard to bare feet, particularly in the dark. It was close to the things we wanted to do so the location was great. Cabin offered good privacy ftom neighboring cabins.
Breakfast remnants from previous guest was still dripped down the front of stove..piece of fried eggs on floor in front of oven.
A complete pair of child’s socks on the floor.
A pacifier was found on floor of bedroom.
Closet door in main bedroom drags causing gouges into floor…you couldn’t open closet due to dragging.
Downstairs bathroom door also dragged making it difficult to open door.
Main bedroom door is also swollen. The swelling doesn’t allow door to close. The door is about 2 inches wider than door frame.
Facia board by hot tub is infested with carpenter bees. Large bees swarming back porch eating the wood.
Empty ice bags laying in the grass by back porch.
Had to purchase our own drinking/cooking water due to rusty water from line flushing. This added an additional $20 to our stay.
This cabin wasn’t cheap. I expected simple maintenance and cleanliness to be much better!
The house is well off the beaten path! So quiet at night! The set up of the master bedroom was a little …different with a tub/shower in the bedroom and the commode out the door and around the corner. There were uncomfortable doorways and connections between the Master, the hallway to the bathroom and the kitchen. I had to clean grime off the iron before I used it and a button was broken. Loved the location; the house was a little funky.
We flew in from four different cities for a girls weekend. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. The Mountain View was spectacular. A peaceful and serene get away was just what we needed.
Great property! Location and cabin were awesome!! Thanks so much!
