About this property

Villa Gedate, natural antidepressant

This comfortable holiday home is situated in a small village Gata, near the coast of Adriatic sea. It's located on the slopes of mountain Mosor and surrounded with the forest that has many signposted trails. It's perfect for everyone that loves nature and enjoys a peaceful and quiet vacation. The nearest city is Omiš, a beautiful little town with many beaches and endless possibilities for different summer activities such as rafting, fishing, hiking, sightseeing and cultural events. House itself has three floors. The ground floor has two garages and a small gym with table tennis. On the first floor there are kitchen, dining room, living room and a small bathroom. On the second floor, there are three bedrooms and a big bathroom. There is air-conditioning downstairs and in each bedroom. House has a small balcony and a big balcony with a dining table. Behind the house, under the trees that provide sun protection is a swimming pool and Lazy-Z-Spa jacuzzi. Next to the pool is bbq, dining table and sun loungers. There is also a small playground for kids that has swings and a big trampoline.

IMPORTANT RULE
Our dog stays at the property during summer. He lives in his outdoor enclosure that is attached to the house. However, he has no contact with guests whatsoever and he is not allowed indoors. We come to feed him and walk him every morning and every evening, without coming into the house of course, so guests are not disturbed at any point. Our dog is fairly big (tornjak, a breed similar to St. Bernard dog) and very cute. He's very well behaved, all previous guests loved having him there. If you have any questions about him feel free to ask. If you have any issues with the dog please do say so BEFORE booking your stay. By booking the house you agree to the aforementioned rules.

Perfect family break

A lovely peaceful house in a quiet village around 10 minutes from beautiful Omis. This was the ideal house for our family and we very much did not want to leave! Dora and the family were great hosts and really easy to contact.

Great stay in Gata!

We stayed for 2 weeks at this house and had a very nice time. It's a beautiful and relaxing location, about 15 minute drive to Omis and lovely beaches, and Dora (host) was very helpful in searching for a bus schedule, and responsive when we needed something. The kids enjoyed the pool, trampoline and ping pong. The nearby Studenac market is well stocked and within a short walk.

Nice and pleasant location

Pleasant villa, well located, closed to many places to visit and entertainments/sport activities. The owners are very nice and always available. I recommend it.

Peaceful vacation home

House was exactly as in the pictures and all amenities were as listed. House was super clean when we arrived. Dora was extremely helpful and responded quickly when we needed some help (e.g. due to power outage in the area). House is located in a peaceful village, not far away from Omis (by car). Rental car is recommended. We had a good time during our stay, it is easy to recommend this place for future visitors.

One week vacations

Nice clean house, owner taking good care about all things and guests. Good and silent place with pool for families with kids due to space to play various outdoor games. Of course, it takes time about 10 min by car to reach center of Omis.

Kleines Häuschen im Hinterland für Leute die es abgeschieden mögen

Wir waren 2 Wochen in der Villa Gedate.Das Haus bietet alles notwendige. Es ist ein wenig abgeschieden und gut geeignet wenn man es ruhiger mag. Ich finde nur das die Küche hätte besser ausgestattet sein können (richtige Kaffeemaschine,Salz,Zucker,Essig,Öl). Ausserdem ist das Haus nicht ganz so gut geeignet mit sehr kleinen Kindern wegen der Stufen im Wohnbereich. Sonst war es sehr schön und mit den Vermietern hat alles gut geklappt. Kleiner Tipp:Achtung vor den engen Strassen und der Fahrweise der Kroaten.

Quite village location, beautiful home.

This house is truly idealic, great village location only 10 min drive into omis, which has all you would want from a beach location, restaurants shopping funfair and if course lots of bars! We stayed here with our friends so 4 adults 4 kids (3,4,7,7) had plenty of space inside and out! Gata village is small but lovely (2 bars 2 supermarkets and a pizzeria) the locals are very welcoming even the fire fighters made time to let our kids sit in the fire engines, which the kids loved. Dora the owner was very helpful and made us feel very welcome with fruit bread and even wine when we arrived! I would highly recommend this home!

My name is Dora. I'm 21 years old university student. I'm helping my parents, Adela and Stipe with renting. They are both high school teachers and if I may say so myself, very lovely and friendly people. They built this property from scratch in 2000 and kept working on it for a long time afterwards. Now our property has spacious garden with swimming pool and spa whirlpool as well as children's playground, big trampoline and bbq. Because of it's magic. I know, such a cliche. But, for real, this place is magical. It's quiet and peaceful. Coming here after long day in the city that's noissy and hasty is a real treat. You can rest and relax, not just your body, but your mind too. If you don't feel like it, you can also put music as loud as you can, because you're on a remote location. You can be active or lazy. You can do sports or read a book. There are many places for you and your friends or family to hang out - on the balcony, eating grilled meat, or vegetables if you are vegetarian; next to the pool, chilling on sun lounges; in the living room, laying on sofa and watching movies.

What makes this property unique

At this place you can have it all. If you want peaceful vacation you can have it. Relaxing in silence, listening to bird's singing, reading book or maybe going off books. If you want active vacation you can have it. Going sight seeing, doing sports, shopping, going out, meeting new people.
