Located in the Pyrenees National Park, Cauterets is the perfect blend of a small mountain town and an elegant village, offering a stay full of charm.
Its hot springs made it the Pyrenean capital of high society during the Roaring Twenties and are now more renowned and celebrated than ever.
For over 50 years, Cauterets has flourished as a destination for “white gold” tourism: downhill skiing at the Cirque du Lys, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing at the Pont d’Espagne.
Cauterets is, in fact, among the top 5 resorts in France with the most snowfall.
All sports are in the spotlight: swimming, tennis, ice skating, cycling (the Tour de France finish stage on July 15, 2015)... Hikers aren’t left out either: kilometres of marked trails await you within the Pyrenees National Park.
Finally, for those who love to relax: restaurants, café terraces, a cinema, a library, a game room...
Don’t leave Cauterets without trying the Bains du Rocher spa and recreation centre.
You’ll find very detailed information on tourist attractions and the events calendar on the Tourist Office website: www.cauterets.com
Bon Enjoy your stay!
