About christine Schousboe
My husband and I live in an apartment in the heart of the Twin Cities. The Bon Aire is our spiritual refuge away from the noise and crowding of city life.
christine Schousboe purchased this House in 2002
Why christine Schousboe chose Palmers
I wasn't looking for a vacation home, but I ran across it online and fell in love with it. Some day we will retire to the Bon Aire. There is nothing else like the North Shore and Lake Superior.
What makes this House unique
The home is larger than most would predict with almost 1700 sq ft. This allows for privacy and room to spread out. A new remodel upstairs opens this area to downstairs renters for an additional fee.

Beautiful Respite on the North Shore
The Bon Aire is the perfect spot to escape the stress of the pandemic and enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Superior. The house is clean, comfortable and well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning in the fall. Thank you.
Serenity on the north shore
Our family desperately needed a change of scenery from our home due to the Covid-19 stay at home orders. We have always loved the north shore and this property was available. Working with Christine was easy and quick! The property was clean and well suited for people that like to cook at home. The kitchen had everything we needed! There was enough room so we could have a place to eat, a place to read and a place to play games. Wish we had more time there and will definitely make this a first choice on our next visit north!
You were great to work with Steve. During a stressful time as it is now, the Bon Aire offers a safe haven. The Great Lake Superior provides soothing and strength. Chris
perfect. and perfect timing
The view of the lake was beautiful, of course, but so was the space from which to view it. We absolutely loved the kitchen/morning room and thoroughly enjoyed the living room/fireplace space. It was a perfect getaway place to relax right before the shelter-in place order kicked in. The housekeeper, too, did a wonderful job of making us feel we were in a well-cleaned, virus free space. We look forward to coming back.
Thank you Nancy for your words regarding the Bon Aire. So glad I was able to provide you the the right experience at the right time. Hope you will return.
nice weekend but....
Parking is an issue....switches and what they went to was a bit strange....had to operate living room lights and fans from bedroom....plus side....lots of stuff for vacationer to use....more than we've seen elsewhere....games galore for something to do...books to read....other than those things....had a great relaxing time.....with what's been going on with this virus thing...Was great getting a little getaway from all the stress and turmoil....Glad it wasn't canceled because of that....
Hi Debra, I am puzzled by your report of light & fan controls located in different rooms of operation. A call to me could had cleared up the confusion. It sounds frustrating but luckily you found other aspects of your stay positive. Glad you still enjoyed it.....Chris
Spacious home, amazing views
We loved our recent stay at the Bon Aire! The room layout ensures that the several seating areas (dining, living, TV room) has beautiful views of the lake, and the two main floor bedrooms are on separate ends of the house, which is nice for added privacy. The house is so comfortable, and the kitchen is well-appointed for making your own meals or just coffee in the morning. Close to Duluth, Two Harbors, and the New Scenic Cafe for whatever you need. Would definitely book again!
Watch sun rises and sun sets.
