Location was excellent and the pool and property were nice. It was a cute little neighborhood and exactly what we needed for a quick family trip to Branson.

Thanks for the kind words. It really is an excellent property. We are thrilled you enjoyed yourselves.
I’ll definitely book this place again. The timeshare check-in wasn’t pushy at all, in my experience. The staff was EXTREMELY helpful and VERY responsive.

Thanks so much. We love knowing you had so much fun !
We loved the location! For us it was perfect as we were doing things on both sides and this was right in the middle. We did not take advantage of any of the amenities at the resort so can not comment on that, but the house was super clean and check in was a breeze! How the resort is setup and the style of the homes was a very nice touch. Yes would recommend this place to friends and family. Thanks for having us!

Thanks so much. We are thrilled you had such a nice time.
Loved our cottage! Very clean, had everything we needed and the property was very nice. Had to contact the owner about a scheduling conflict and she was more than nice! Very understanding and very easy to work with! We had a breakfast and dinner at the restaurant on the property—- all was very good. Looking forward to visiting again!!
The property was exactly as listed. We enjoyed the convenience of the family friendly pool and splash pad. The community is cute, quaint and quiet. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The resort was far enough from the hustle and bustle of the main strip, but conveniently located close enough to get a nice scenic drive.

Never Again
Our reservation was messed up and we were scheduled for the following week instead of the week that my confirmation stated. I'm not necessarily blaming Stormy Point for this, as we booked through VRBO, not knowing we were booking with a timeshare community. This was very misleading. After a couple hours of extreme stress, the staff were able to get us a house. The staff did try to make it right by giving us quite a bit in meal coupons to their restaurant (we had breakfast there a couple mornings and it was awful). In order to get our parking passes, we were then taken over to a lady that began to ask us what we had spent on our vacation - the timeshare speech commenced. Let me say this again: our parking passes were held hostage until we talked to the timeshare lady! I just politely stopped the lady and told her we weren't interested. We were tired from driving 6 hours and then a couple hours trying to straighten out our reservations. The houses are nice and cute. We booked for 8 people, but there certainly wasn't sitting room in the living room area for 8 people. There was a sofa that would seat 3 and a chair for 1 person. Maybe they can fix that. I did have to go to Walmart and buy a Swiffer mop because the floors were filthy. My grandchildren immediately take off their shoes anytime they go inside and within 20 minutes at this house, their feet were black. I mopped the floors on both levels.

In kindest of tones, your reservation was ‘messed up” because you booked the wrong dates and arrived for dates you hadn’t reserved. This created a quandary —finding you an accommodation in peak season at the same resort was nothing short of a miracle. A miracle we made happen so your family wasn’t left without a place to stay. You did not stay in my cottage, so your comments are not true to this listing. Rather saddened by the unkind comments as so much was done to resolve your reservation error upon arrival. Kindest wishes to you and yours.
Perfect stay for our family. Will look to book there again.

Cute cottage, poor rental management
The property manager is unprofessional. I requested a change to my original dates to add an extra night and it was apparently approved but the reservation wasn’t updated. She sent the new details in a message on the VRBO website, but never officially updated the reservation. I got an email saying my reservation had changed and I went off the dates on that email. So basically, I didn’t thoroughly read the messages on the VRBO tool and she didn’t completely update the reservation and just relied on the messages. Based on this communication breakdown, we paid for 4 nights and only stayed 3 nights. I contacted her when I noticed the extra fee and she basically told me there is nothing she can do, the owner expects his money regardless of any miscommunications. I didn’t even ask for a refund but maybe a future credit. Also, we are repeat customers so there should’ve been a little bit of appreciation. She told me to contact VRB0. VRBO said they saw her messages with the updated fee and dates, but she never updated the reservation so it still reflected the 3 nights instead of 4. They said the property owner could perhaps give me a refund or credit. When I tried to have a conversation with Madison to figure out what happened she got extremely agitated, insulted me and called me a Karen. I was calm with her and was only trying to understand the communication breakdown. I can’t imagine a world when a property manager calls a customer names during a civil conversation when the customer is wanting clarity. I was actually in shock by her behavior. She could’ve been kind and gracious and even without offering me a refund, I would’ve been understanding because I take some of the blame in the situation for not accessing the messages. Based on her response to the other negative review it seems she’s incapable of handling sticky situations with professionalism. We our frequent VRBO customers traveling all over the world and I’ve never had anyone treat me the way she did.
The community and the cottage are very nice. The cottage is charming but showing some wear. The downstairs bed is very squeaky. You can’t roll over without a loud squeak which makes for a restless sleep. Also, the pillows are terrible and need to be replaced. We are a family of 5 and the 3 bedroom was tight for us. The living room only has seating for 4, so when watching a movie we had to pull over a dining chair for someone to sit in. I’ll book directly next time.

Simply said-after 12 years of hosting—this is the worst person I’ve ever encountered. I am a VRBO Premier Partner Host. In spite of this very sad and bad review, I still have Premier Status.
The only truthful comment from the guest in her manipulative and malicious rant —is the guest finally admitting SHE added the date and paid for the date. This was not her position when this reservation went awry.
The guest accused me of adding the date and charging her card without permission. This simply can’t be done in the VRBO platform. Hosts have no control of adding dates or charging their credit cards.
When the guest arrived a day late, she demanded a refund and accused me of manipulating her account. A multitude of very unkind and attacking conversations by the guest. I explained over and over that her accusations simply can’t be true. I directed her to contact VRBO for further assistance. Sadly, she preferred a multitude of accosting calls to me instead.
I’m sure after calling VRBO (finally), she was explained the truth again. Hosts can not change a reservation or charge their card without their approval. It’s obvious she decided her best revenge was a poor review.
Although unkind, this act of vengeance has had NO effect on my Premier Partner Status.
Bottom line, the guest added the date and paid for the date and chose to arrive a day later. This was her doing and her oversight, yet she blamed me and wanted me to refund her for the night she didn’t use. Constantly accusing me of manipulating her reservation. I was left bewildered and in shock.
In addition, the guest stayed with us in Spring of 2021. She liked us enough to return in December. She wasn’t very pleasant during her first visit either. I only wish I had learned my lesson then. When people show you who they are—BELIEVE them!
I can only recommend any new guests read the hundreds of 5 star reviews in our multiple listings to find the truth.
We are dedicated and caring hosts and have proven so for over a decade
Thanks for the kind words. We are THRILLED you and your family had a great trip.

Needs help
My family and I stayed here July 6 to July 11 and we did honestly have fun. Madison was a very good host and answered any questions or concerns I had. Unfortunately the management here at stormy point village is non existent. The pools are showing incredible wear and tear and when you really look so are the cabins. My cabin alone had dents and door handles loose and falling off. Madison did get maintenance to fix the sink and bathroom door handle but by last day two more were happening. This is fine but for a money I paid this shouldn't be happening. On July 10 I reported my window having been broke and having a beebee gun sized hole in it. Now this upset me as I have small kids here. I reported this to management and security and no concerns or even follow up. This alone I can't recommend ever staying here again. I get understaffed but lack of care and really only caring about selling you s time share is incredibly apparent

Every one gets that one guest a year who cannot be made happy no matter the amount of attention and service they are given. Every claim was investigated —and unfounded. There was no bee bee hole anywhere and not another complaint from anyone else on site. After 42 lengthy and badgering emails in one day from this guest of non stop complaints and random self history, I felt he was in pursuit of manipulating a refund. I host over a thousand guests annually and have been a premier partner on VRBO for years. I’ve never had a guest like this. Quite saddening experience for us.
This was a long-awaited get away with girlfriends. We enjoyed the pleasant surroundings and charming decor. There were some maintenance items which could be addressed such as: the coffee-maker took 40 minutes to brew, the dishwasher compartment didn’t open so there was undissolved detergent after the wash cycle and the bed in the master bedroom squeaked requiring a pillow to be inserted to get a full nights sleep.
We had a wonderful time. Lots of fun, really enjoyed the amenities.
