Gordon took great care of us. His last tip was to visit Glencoe via Tyndrum for the most spectacular views coming up through Glencoe Valley from the south. The hot tub was a perfect 38.5 C stay in it an hour if you like. A visit too Ardmaddy gardens and on to the isle of seil makes a perfect day. or do Inverrary castle. So much to see.
A lovely cabin with all you could need for a relaxing break, a gorgeous cabin in the woods. Considering it's a wood cabin in the woods, it's very clean, a few water marks in the wood but nothing unusual for what and where it is, the cleaner does an amazing job. Gordon was helpful and friendly and at the end of the phone if needed, the fabulous friendly dogs were a bonus. There is a busy road close by, that you can just see the tops of cars through the kitchen window, bit of noise but we got used to it and the surroundings make up for this, fabulous views all around. Creaky bed with a soft mattress that had us a bit worried at first, but we had an amazing sleep every night. The hot tub was amazing, my husband took a real liking to it and ended most days in it relaxing. It's set in lovely grounds with some amazing views and places close by, we have never seen such beautiful sights, I now understand people raving about how beautiful it is in this part of the world.
The water in the cabin takes some getting used to, we knew it was safe and gets tested but brown water is very off putting. We just bought bottled water to make hot drinks with and for cooking.
One little thing would make it a little more user friendly and that is that there is no hanging space inside or near the hot tub, there's obviously no room for ironing board or iron so I had to hang a few dresses on shelf brackets near DVD player.
Also needs couple of hooks near hot tub for towels or dressing gowns.
But all in all, I am already wanting to go back in the not to distant future. If you want a relaxing break in a little bit of heaven, then this is the place.
Property is amazing and very very clean. Has everything we needed and more. Me and my good lady just wanted a break from the world for 3 night without the kids and boy it delivered. Wood burning stove is great and they give u plenty of wood for the stay and we left behind what we brought along. Has books and cds on offer and the shower is very good. Cant fault this at all and i would like to thanks the owners for such a great stay. WE WILL BE BACK.
