Heated pool (May-Sept) in 25m terrace exclusively for use of guests, exceptional views over the Dordogne, Bosch kitchen, gas hob, electric oven and heating, fiber optic internet, private patio with barbecue, English and French TV channels, private parking, 12 acres land inc. river bank for fishing, balconies front and side giving access for unrestricted walking on this extensive land, "Intermarche" supermarket 1km, baby cot, Bosch washer:dryer dishwasher microwave etc, no other occupants in the building, owner's house nearby and completely separate, smoking only on the balconies.
Explore many other old and beautiful towns in the region, like Turenne, Curemont, Collonges-la-Rouge, Segur-le-Chateau and visit Rocamadour, Sarlat and Carcassonne. Canoeing & fishing on the river.

We had a fab time at Irina’s place. We arrived in the middle of a storm but Marc greeted us with an umbrella and showed us around. The house and pool are lovely, well equipped. The views are amazing!Worth being aware that there are a lot of (very lovely) cats! Irina looks after stray cats, which was a highlight of our holiday. They do hang out on the drive at the top so just to be aware when you drive up for the first time. They’re not all afraid of cars!

A very clean and comfortable place to stay with a lovely view over the Dordogne river. On the two occasions anything was needed Mark was on hand to quickly fix things. He also very kindly drove 2 hours up the autoroute to return some valuables we had left behind! There are a lot cats at the owners house adjoining the property. Our dog is very obedient and thankfully not a chaser! Just something to be aware of. It’s also only a 15 minute walk into the beautiful town of Beaulieu so very conveniently situated.

Beautiful views of the Dordogne river

We had a wonderful holiday despite more rainy days than expected. The house is much as advertised, however there are some issues we need to mention and have already mentioned to the owner: When we booked the house we mentioned that we would be bringing our sweet and well-begavede labrador dog and they replied that he was welcome, however they failed to mention that they have at least 4-5 cats on the property. This made our holidays a lot less relaxing as dogs and cats do rarely get along 😅. So instead of letting our dog run around without his leash as we had expected, we had to keep him on a leash most of the time as the rented part of the grounds is not fenced of from the rest of the grounds, and the owner’s house is vey close by. Also, the cats seem to prefer the gravel just outside the entrance to the rental house for “doing their business “ which smells quite a lot. The otherwise beautiful terasse by the pool really needs replacing of its deck planks as you can get splinters in your feet. We got around the problem by always wearing sandals 😁. We did miss more cushions for the iron chairs by the house as well as sun bed cushions by the pool. The kitchen was very well equipped- except for a bread knife. We used the small steak knives, but a big normal bread knife would be better 😁. Even though we mention these things, we still highly recommend this Holliday rental 😁. And the owners are very nice people who recommended several very good places 😁

Excellent séjour

Logement conforme à sa description et bien agencé. Idéalement situé pour découvrir la region Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, la vue sur la Dordogne est juste magnifique. La piscine est appréciable également. M et Mme Macleod sont très discrets mais soucieux de notre bien-être. Nous espérons pouvoir revenir !

Maison très propre, tout ce qu'il faut sur place, draps, serviettes, torchons et autres. Maison super bien placée pour les visites aux alentours. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour.
