Need a latitude adjustment? Come spend some time at our cozy house on the bay.
Grand Marais is a little slice of mother nature's best in all 4 seasons. All photos are at the house or within a 40-mile radius, to give you an idea of the beauty surrounding. We have a waterfront home with private beach, full kitchen, 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6), 1.5 baths, and wrap around deck.
We’re in the perfect location, you can spend your days on the property relaxing on your own private beach, paddling in the bay (kayaks are provided), swimming, boating/sailing and having campfires. We’re within walking distance of the shops and restaurants downtown, Agate Beach on the big water (great for rock hunting!), and the North Country Trail. If you would like to go exploring, we’re located at the eastern end of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, where you can enjoy gorgeous hikes along the sandy dunes, magnificent sandstone cliffs, teal blue lake superior water, picturesque waterfalls, inland lakes, and northwood forests of maples, birches, pines, and hemlocks. The Grand Marais area is also home to legendary trout streams. Located 30 miles to the south is the Seney National Wildlife Refuge with over 200 bird species, 26 fish species, and 50 mammals—a wildlife photographer’s dream. Grand Marais is located on the ATV/ORV trail 8. Access to the garage for ATV/ORV overnight storage can also be arranged. No matter how you want to spend your summer vacation, we have it all. In autumn, the surrounding hardwood forests turn magnificent orange, yellow and reds with contrasting evergreens and paper-white birch trees. The weather is great for hiking, biking, photographing, riding on the motorized trails and more. It is very peaceful.
When the snow flies, there’s an abundance of activities to enjoy here: scenic snowshoeing, X country skiing, dog sledding, fat tire biking and snowmobiling are amazing in the area. Our house serves as the perfect, cozy home base to come back to after you’ve spent a day out in the cold. There is new fireplace with a gas stove just in time for winter! We’re conveniently located near the Crazy 8’s snowmobile trails (#8, #88, and #888) as well as trail #443. Snowmobiles are available to rent right in Grand Marais, or if you bring your own, we have a heated garage to store your sleds and gear in at night. The bay, our home is on the shore of, is an ice fishing hotspot. Whatever your winter getaway entails, our warm and comfortable house is in the center of it all. Trailer parking on site and you can ride to trail (very close!), no need to go to trail heads with trailers for the day. Any time of the year, our home serves as a perfect retreat with a fabulous view, nestled in the trees, situated on the harbor.
NOTE: COVID Safety: We have a strict sanitizing regiment and thoroughly clean and disinfect every nook and cranny of our home between renters with CDC recommended products. Put your mind at ease in this safe haven, away from crowds.

Provided the perfect location for a girls getaway! Good home base for hiking and rock hunting. The house was clean, cute, and very thoughtfully equipped with all conveniences. The sauna is the cherry on top of it all - stunning view of the lake from its window, dry or steam heat, Himalayan salt lamp panel on the wall. Robin was such a kind host and we look forward to returning!
We had such a great stay here for our annual snowmobile trip! The home is right on the bay, the views are incredible! The sauna is an added bonus! The entire home is set up perfectly giving that northern MI feel with the added luxuries we enjoy, including Trader Joes tree tea shampoo conditioner! It's so cozy and welcoming! We enjoy walking into town- Lake Superior Brewing is fantastic for food & spirits, the Breakwall offers a fantastic breakfast now great dinner options, like a good steak! And, you have views of the big lake from everywhere in town! Thank you for your hospitality, Robin!
Our family had a wonderful stay in the little town of Grand Marais. The house is right on the bay and it is so relaxing to sit out on the deck and watch the boats and the beautiful sunrises.
Grand Marais gem! Quaint, well stocked cabin conveniently located within walking distance to everything you n town. We enjoyed the sauna, kayaks, and fire pit. Already planning to return next year!
Lovely place and has a fully-stocked kitchen with almost every small gadget that you could possibly need. Close enough to walk into the cute town of Grand Marais and nice beach. Would definitely stay again!
This cottage is everything a traveler could wish for! The lake is just steps away from the front door. The cottage was clean and well stocked with all the items we might need. A true gem in Grand Marais!
Robin went above and beyond to ensure an amazing experience. We appreciate her attention to detail and friendly, helpful disposition. The VRBO we rented was perfect for a girls getaway weekend. Thanks for everything Robin! We will certainly be in touch.
We loved our stay here, it felt private and secluded but at the same time it is within walking distance to food, beaches, and coffee! The home has so many magical touches that made it incredibly convenient. We just loved our time there!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property was as advertised. Our hosts Robin and Bill were great. We had a warm welcome, recommendations on activities, and the cottage itself had it all. We will certainly book a stay there again in the future!
