Newly remodeled, nautical-style New England cottage within blocks of beaches, scenic marshes, shellfishing area, nature trail to dog-friendly beach, boat launches and marina. Accommodates 4+ guests. The 2 bedrooms have queen beds w/ storage drawers beneath & air conditioning. Well-equipped kitchen, expansive deck, great yard, gas grill, hammock, YoutubeTV / WiFi, W/D, parking. Most dogs welcome but must be approved by owner.

Friends & Family Week

We enjoyed our stay. This was a first vacation with our dog. She totally enjoyed her stay. She played with our friends dogs and went swimming and to the beach with us. Lots of walks around the island. Great little place.

Wedding Weekend

Jackie and Glenn were amazing to interact with from leading up to our stay and during! It was a seamless experience and the house itself was lovely. A perfect location and proximity to the wedding we were all attending on West Island that weekend. Thank you for being amazing hosts!

Wonderful

This little hideaway is truly a gem. Very clean, well organized and the owner is very responsive. The large deck over looking a beautiful yard was perfect for relaxation. Lots of attention to detail to make our stay pleasant and relaxed. West island is truly the gem of this area. Highly recommend this property.

Cozy getaway on a cozy island

We absolutely loved our time on West Island. Having never heard of the area before, we were pleasantly surprised by all the great options for visitors. The house was exactly as described, and the owners did an exceptional job providing the essentials you might need on vacation. We greatly appreciated their kindness! We would absolutely come back.

Annual Girls Trip

This was the 17th year we had our annual Girls trip and it was Fantastic! The cottage is perfect, it was very clean and thoughtfully stocked for vacationers. The location is a hidden gem, we enjoyed the beach and tranquility in the neighborhood and we also were able to tour the surrounding coastal towns and take in the sites and enjoy the wildlife and scenery within minutes of the cottage. The hosts were extremely helpful and very responsive, we would certainly recommend this spot to friends and family.

Cozy Cottage

My two friends, my dog, and I loved this cottage. It’s perfect as a base for day trips and also great for relaxing after a long day. The surrounding blocks were ideal for a morning dog walk. Getting groceries and gassing up for day trips was very convenient. The cottage itself was clean, nicely decorated, and everything was labeled and easy to locate. Their guidebook was extremely helpful and much appreciated. It was a wonderful stay.

Perfect accommodations

The home was clean, well-kept and in very good condition. For 2-3 people the accommodations are very nice. The host (Glen) was easy to communicate with if needed. The home had great accommodations including outdoor grill, outdoor shower, beach chairs, cooler, beach towels, Town Beach sticker as well as other small amenities. Bedrooms were on the small side, but beds were very comfortable. Walk to Associations Beach and ICE CREAM shop. I would stay at this home again!

So Awesome

This cottage is absolutely adorable. The quintessential Cape cottage. The decorations are adorable and every little thing you could need was there. From hair dryer, k cups with a variety of choices, to beach chairs, umbrella and coolers! They were wonderful to deal with and I just loved being on West Island! Thank you for providing us with a homey, comfy place that we will definitely come to again.

A true gem

We had our yearly girls only vacation ans this is one of our favorites to date. A true gem of a quaint house in such a beautiful location tucked away on an island but still close enough to all the exciting this Mass has to offer. The location and quiet area were the best parts. A creamery just 2 doors down and a private beach. 5 plus stars and the house is spotless. We will be back.

Fantastic Getaway

This was the perfect spot for my wife and I to take our dog and completely unplug for a long weekend trip. The space was kept immaculately clean, and the directory that we were given when we arrived had everything clearly written down. The back porch was the perfect way to spend the mornings and evenings, and there was even a little dog gate to allow for our pup to stay outside with us. The private dog beach that was less than a 10-minute walk away was amazing - we went three times and each time we were the only ones there, and the beach/water was perfect for our dog to play in and swim. We would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a place to relax with their dog for a long weekend.

Champ's vacation

So...my husband and I were both familiar with the Fairhaven area as we grew up close by in New Bedford/Taunton. Our stay at the Sea Breeze cottage was perfect for us. Champ was a bit larger than what the rule was for the size of your dog but our hosts were dog-friendly and Champ was accepted! It was vacation for him really as we were anxious to see him swim in rhe ocean! Being empty nestersyou tend to treat your pups like children! I got to visit with old friends and enjoyed some great seafood too! The cottage was clean and easy to settle in to! And Champ could have used more room but was happy to cozy up in this perfect setting!

Perfect Little House on the Perfect Little Island

Island Breeze Cottage just set the standard for our favorite vacation house! Everything was cute and clean and SO conveniently located!! We will definitely return for years to come! We have stayed on West Island for a few years now and it is the perfect, quiet little island for our quiet little family. It lacks the loud tourist attractions of most beaches, but when we are in the mood for that, they are just a short drive away on Cape Cod. From Island Breeze, there is a little beach and a cute little ice cream shop in walking distance. Perfect for adventures with our 4 year old daughter! The cottage was the perfect size and adorably decorated. The little kitchen was perfect for making lunches and the few dinners we didn't eat out. Two different living rooms were perfect for watching movies in one and playing games in the other. The only slight challenge came because I am 7 feet tall and had to watch out to keep from bumping my head, but I spend most of my life watching out for that. It wasn't a problem for my more normal sized family members. All-in-all, I can't say enough good things about Island Breeze!!

Beautiful Home!

Your home was so clean and cute and decorated very tastefully. We enjoyed walking our dogs in the neighborhood and met quite a few friendly people. Enjoyed the beach with the dogs. Ate supper on the back deck, LOVE that table set! Everything you need and more. We shall be back!

Hidden gem

Terrific cottage get-a-way with two living spaces, front deck, back deck, and all as pictured. Labels on drawers, light switches very helpful. Bedrooms even have dimmer switches on the lights. Beds are platform with storage drawers - great idea. Cottage all in excellent condition. Beautiful part of the coast.

Lovely Summer Stay

We had a wonderful stay at Glenn and Jackie’s place. The cottage is so charming, comfortable and well organized. We had plenty of space for ourselves and occasional guests and our dog loved playing in the back yard. There were lots of considerate touches like labeled drawers, cabinets, and light switches so we knew where to find things from the moment we arrived. Our family had fun playing croquet in the backyard and my husband spent lots of time reading in the hammock. The deck, grill and outdoor seating were perfect for barbecuing and the outdoor shower was such a treat after coming back from the beach. Glenn was easy to reach and communicate with if we ever needed anything. We enjoyed our time at the cottage so much and we wouldn’t hesitate to book another stay.

Island Breeze is a newly remodeled cottage within easy walking distance to West Island's five beaches, which are ranked among the most scenic in New England.

Perfect island location within blocks of scenic marshes, shellfishing area, boat launches, several beaches, and a marina. Steps to a scenic wooded trail that leads to dog-friendly beach.

The two bedrooms have queen-sized captains beds (storage drawers beneath) Fresh linens and towels are provided.

The kitchen/dining area is fully stocked with everything needed for indoor dining or outdoor entertaining.

There is a remote-controlled gas fireplace in the classic island stone chimney. Both bedrooms and both living rooms are equipped with Mini-Split heater/air conditioning units. An outdoor shower and washer/dryer further complement the amenities of this cozy island cottage.

Relax on the enormous back deck with seating. Enjoy a cookout on the gas grill and patio set (seats six).

Entertainment includes two 32" flat-screen Smart televisions with Youtube TV subscriptions (includes live tv) and WiFi internet access.

We provide beach towels, beach chairs, a large cooler, & beach umbrella. Bring your kayak and you can launch a few hundred yards away and enjoy the shelter of Nasketucket Bay or venture out south into Buzzard's Bay.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome with approval. Some breeds restricted by Insurance policies. There is an area on the side of the cottage for pets to relieve themselves but we spend a bit of money keeping the lawn in great condition so pets are only allowed to relieve themselves in that area. We require a $500 security deposit and any damage caused by pets are part of this security deposit.
