Lovely holiday place

We had a lovely time at Villa Oliander. Although the house is a bit dated, it is comfortable with lovely views and outside areas. The house keeper was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommended this property.

Beautiful old world style villa with great views overlooking the town and harbor. Furnishings were comfortable, the kitchen had every gadget you needed and bathrooms were modern. Great location on a hill overlooking Poseidonia, easy access to the beach and beachside tavernas. Mini Mart, taverna and bakery all easy walk (less than 1/2 mile) away. Home was immaculate with maid service and the grounds and pool well kept.

Beautiful Home a privilege to stay

10/10. The property is actually much bigger and more attractive than the pictures show. A genuinely wonderful experience to stay in a lovely old home with oodles of history everyone around us. To our pleasant surprise we had a daily housekeeper who has known the property for many years and made everything just so easy for us! Perfect place to stay in the laid back island of Syros and enjoy all it has to offer.

Très belle maison cycladique de famille et pleine de charme

Nous étions deux couples avec des adolescents, très belle demeure, avec une âme et un charme certain. Des beaux espaces intérieurs et extérieurs. Jardin très bien conçu pas besoin de parasol l'ombre est conçue a partir de la végétation ou d'un patio très agréable.A chaque heure de la journée il y a une table à l'ombre et à l'abris du vent. Accueil de la femme de ménage très souriant et adéquat , jardinier régulier et discret .Localisation sur une coline à courte distance du village et des plages, faisable à pied (20 minutes) . Une vraie maison de vacance loin des locations uniformisées et impersonnelles.

One of the loveliest villas we have stayed in

A beautiful villa built with great care and character and a lovely location above the bay. We had an incredibly relaxing stay and recharged wonderfully. Syros is a hidden gem of an island with plenty of beaches, and Ermoupoli must be one of the prettiest towns in Greece (all the nicer since you wouldn't guess this from the view coming in on the ferry). We were very well looked after amd have nothing but happy memories of the many excellent eating spots around the house, the pool, and the lovely terrace for evening drinks.

Spacious, authentic family villa with great garden and vistas

This was a great break- the villa is not a new-build but a fantastic family home, with a big range of rooms and outdoor areas to use for socialising, relaxing, reading, sunset drinks, chilling by the pool or a fantastic dining experience. Check in was exceptionally welcoming, with a wonderful introduction to the area, and we were looked after with daily breakfast and cleaning in a non-intrusive way. The gardens of the villa are beautifully varied as promised and offer plenty of shade for those that want it. The view from the verandah is refreshing and ever changing, and there is plenty to explore nearby in walking or driving distance- sandy beaches, seafront bars and tavernas, the main town is full of character and some fun shopping opportunities, whilst the north of the island is wild and rugged. Much recommended as a family getaway or for friends wanting to enjoy time together in spacious surroundings.

Our entire stay could not have been more perfect. The property is magnificent and the surrounding views great. The house keeper Tatiana was so helpful and pleasant and everything was run efficiently. Charm was everywhere and everything kept clean and comfortable. Hope to return again.

Homely Elegant Villa - Relaxing with great views

We stayed at the villa for a week in September and had a very relaxing time. The Villa has high ceilings and the rooms are large, especially the main bedroom and en-suite. Good insect nets meant that the inside was insect free all the time. The house keeper prepares, serves and clears up the continental breakfast which is a lovely touch. There are a number of different outdoor areas which allow you to have shade or be in the sun which we found helpful. There’s also a good outdoor area for the evenings. Arthur took the time to give us a briefing on the local beaches and tavernas, which we appreciated.
