Thanks for checking out our home, perfect for families but great for couples as well. We just added a hot tub in the back yard with views of Lumpy Ridge. Enjoy!
Our place is a comfortable, single-level 3 bedroom perfectly situated just a few minutes from downtown Estes Park, a few minutes from the National Park entrance, and walking distance to the best deli, supermarket and restaurant in all of Estes Park. We love the location, the views of Lumpy Ridge, and the grassy front and back yards that are great places to relax after a long day hiking in the rockies.
You will love its open floor plan, large kitchen, and huge master bed/bath suite that's separated from the main living area and affords an additional sense of privacy. Because the house is situated relatively close to the National Park, you're nearly guaranteed to see elk, deer and other animals wandering through the yard. It's well appointed with comfortable queen beds throughout, modern sofas, a smart TV, fireplace, and ample outdoor living space. The fully equipped kitchen will allow you to feel at home during your Estes Park vacation.
All access is plowed and flat, so unless there's a massive winter storm that shuts down the entire town, you will likely be fine year round with whatever car you choose.
We are new hosts, but we are happy to have our good friend of 10 years managing our home. Nathan and his house manager Nancy have hosted 8000+ guests since 2016 and we know you will be in great hands. Their past guests have raved about their prompt replies, attention to detail, and ability to make you feel totally at home.
We spent months during early 2020 working to create a quiet and relaxing sanctuary for your family retreat. Improvements include:
+ Fresh paint throughout
+ Comfy modern couch
+ New lighting to brighten the rooms
+ Brand new beds and queen mattresses for a great rest
+ A large flat screen smart TV with lots of streaming options
+ Super fast WiFi with no dead zones
We love our home for many reasons! Our favorite features are the convenient location and the windows everywhere, which provide a ton of natural light.
***** IMPORTANT DISCLOSURES *****
There are other homes in this neighborhood, so if you are looking for complete seclusion and and isolation in the woods, this isn't your best bet. For that you'll need to search 10 miles or more out of Estes Park.
Last, check in is 4PM and check out is 10AM. I cannot accommodate early check ins and late check outs due to my cleaners' schedule. It's a super tiny mountain town and the cleaners are slammed and there just aren't other people to clean. I'm sorry about that!
BEDROOMS
Our home offers 3 bedrooms each with an incredibly comfortable queen bed for a good night's sleep.
Bedroom 1 - A master bedroom with a sparkly en-suite bathroom and a gigantic closet for your outdoor gear. We love the privacy offered by this bedroom as it is well separated from the rest of the house.
Bedroom 2 - A queen bedroom on the west side, with views from the bed of the mountains. If you want to wake up to the morning light, you'll see the sky come alive as the light first hits Lumpy Ridge
Bedroom 3 -- A smaller bedroom but still equipped with the same comfy memory foam queen mattress that's in the other bedrooms. Bedroom 2 and 3 are off a hallway (with a second bathroom) that's attached to the living/dining area.
LIVING & ENTERTAINMENT
Living Room -There's a 44" 4K smart television with Roku. Come on in and log into your favorite streaming service. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sling, Hulu, etc. There are also games, books, and a cozy fireplace.
WiFi - Our home employs a speedy WiFi network with no dead zones.
LAUNDRY & COOKING
Kitchen - The galley kitchen has everything you need to cook: a full stove and oven, fridge and freezer, and assortment of pots and pans. My brand new knives are sharp (dull knives are a pet peeve!). There are cutting boards, wine glasses, coffee mugs, and a drip coffee maker so you can get your caffeine fix before you enjoy the National Park.
Laundry - Our home offers a full size washer and dryer that you are free to use.
Guests will have full access to our home, which includes:
1 master bedroom and attached en suite bathroom
Laundry facility
Front and back yards
2 additional queen bedrooms
Open living and dining area
Private off street parking
My husband Amos and I are long time Estes locals. We love to hike, ride bikes, rock climb, and ski in the National Park. We give our guests privacy but want to ensure you have a great visit. Our good friend Nathan is managing our home, along with his house manager Nancy, and they will take great care of you!
Our home is in a wonderful, sunny neighborhood on the flank of Prospect Mountain on Marys Lake Road. From our yard you can see straight into Lumpy Ridge and the towering Sundance Buttress. There are neighbors, and we have a super nice long term renter in a small cabin at the back of our property, so if you are looking for total isolation this isn't the best spot.
The neighborhood is incredibly convenient. You can walk a few blocks down Marys Lake Road to The Country Supermarket, where you'll find a fully stocked yet uncrowded local market. They have awesome to-go deli sandwiches too. Adjacent to the market is Scratch Deli, offering amazing hand crafted warm sandwiches, plus Bird and Jim, by far the best restaurant in Estes Park. We love the place, and the owners are friends of ours.
Our home is on the west side of Estes Park, so you don't have to brave downtown traffic to get into the National Park. In the summer months this will save you a lot of time in the car! Driving into the center of town is a short 3-5 minute journey, and the Park Entrance is a couple minutes the other direction.
During the summer, there's a free shuttle bus that goes all over Estes Park and into the National Park. You'll want to walk to the Stop 3 (Manor RV Park) or Stop 4 (National Park Village, where the nearby Country Supermarket is), both of which are within a few blocks' distance.
NOISE
Events, loud music and noises, and parties are strictly prohibited. Please be respectful of your noise level so I can maintain good relationships with my neighbors. Note that we have wonderful long term renters in a small cabin on the back of our lot -- pleae treat our neighbors like you'd want to be treated.
The house is equipped with Minut sensor which measures sound levels and alerts us if things are too loud so I can give you a heads up. It does not record content, it only measures decibel levels so your privacy is 100% guaranteed. Guests are not to unplug it (we will also be alerted if that happens). You can read more about this device by searching for NoiseAware on the Internet.
NONPAYING GUESTS
Insurance requires that nonpaying and non-registered guests are not allowed on property. There are motion sensitive security cameras on the outside of the building which will pick up nonpaying guests and deter parties.
ADDITIONAL GUEST FEE
There is an additional charge per person for your stay after the first two guests. The platform will automatically calculate the total when you input your dates and guest count.
AIR CONDITIONER
Estes has a mild mountain climate in the summers but from time to time it can get hot. Like nearly every other home in town, there’s no A/C. The cool evening breeze will cool the home down quickly.
BEARS
Do NOT leave food in your car! Bears frequent this area and can break in!
