"Twin Pahootz is a cute and thoroughly cosy cottage with state of the art facilitites, situated right on the estuary and 200 metres away from the pristine Tauranga Bay beach.

Twin Pahootz has been completely renovated, and now features a brand new kitchen, brand new bathroom, extra separate toilet facilities and a laundry come scullery for true outdoor living. Twin Pahootz will cater well for your needs. A fish bench out the back will keep the boaties happy.

You still get to watch the kids play on the section or the adjacent reserve and enjoy super easy access to all activities on offer at Tauranga Bay beach and estuary. A small dog (under 10kg) may be acceptable subject to our approval. Please send a photo.

A queen size bed is available and there are two single bed size window seats (one in the lounge and the other in the bedroom) for a midday nap or if you bring the kids and do not want to pitch a tent for them on the lawn. For nature lovers, dotterels nest in the dunes of the pristine beach.

Cook dinner on the BBQ, or in the brand new kitchen and clean up in the scullery/laundry. For a respite from the beach and the water-filled fun, play games with the kids or just lounge like lizards with a good book.

The property is fully fenced so straying children/ pooches can be kept under your wings.

Minimum stay is two nights - perfect for a quick weekend fishing or beach getaway. Arrive home fully refreshed from this relaxing retreat.

An extra charge of $10 per person per night applies for any more than two people and a maximum of four people applies.

Winter-time long-term stays to be negotiated. Minimum one month stay period applies for this rate. Just use the "Ask a Question" to enquire about this option.

Bring your own bed linen and towels, or we can make up the queen bed if you prefer..

In consideration of the community and neighbours a strict no party and no loud music policy applies.

Twin Pahootz can support only well-behaved dogs which will be friendly to passers-by and the local child and bird friendly community.

A charming spot.

We had a relaxing stay at Twin Pahootz despite the tropical cyclone rollling through. It is a very well appointed holiday unit that would be great for a couple anytime or small family in the summer.

AMAZING location, gorgeous little bach - perfect for a small family. We are a family of 3, teenage son, and a fur child.. the host was amazing to deal with, the bach was very well equipped with everything you need.. beautifully renovated.THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE THIS EVEN MORE AMAZING:1. cover between main house and bathrooms (we happened to be staying during awful weather and needing to go in and out in the pouring rain wasn't pleasant)2. curtains in the bay windows/beds... our son slept on the bay window in the lounge, but the curtain is on the outside of the bed, not over the window, so the light shone right on him.. curtains or blinds covering the actual windows would be better3. No wi-fi; this is not usually an issue for us.. what made it tricky is that reception was pretty bad (One NZ AND 2 Degrees).. made it tricky with bad weather and also if you need to logon and do any work remotely, hot spotting is not really viable (maybe Spark is better?)Aside from these things, which aren't major, we absolutely LOVED this bach enjoyed meeting some lovely 'locals' too.. We will be back for sure!

Fabulous Stay

Get away for the long weekend (Labour Weekend). Was a lovely spot of paradise and the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Only thing to mention was that there was no TV, which wouldn't have mattered so much if the All Blacks weren't playing on one of the nights that we stayed. Otherwise highly recommend.

Lovely little cottage ideal for a family

We had a lovely time at the cottage. We love the site, the tidiness and the overall atmosphere. A few suggestions : remove a few dining chairs to free up some space. Add a small wardrobe could be quite useful too! Fantastic time nevertheless ! Thanks a lot for the memories .

Twin Palms was exactly what we expected - a dream!

Twin Palms was exactly what we expected - a dream! The location was wonderful & accommodated all ages of our family by utilising the estuary & the beach. There was so much to do, the only thing we missed this year was a boat! The section and shed suited us so well, allowed us to set up all of our tents around the section and utilise the shed as a base for cooking etc. All the facilities were neat and tidy. We couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely be back thank you

Beautiful property in perfect location

The property is idyllic and clean which made our stay very relaxing. The outdoor area is well planned and can be enjoyed regardless of the weather. We stayed with a dog and a toddler but the property was fully fenced so safe for both. Our 10 year old slept on the mattress in the bay window which unfortunately had no curtains so he had few early starts. Everything else was absolutely lovely., location included. Thank you for having us, we certainly would like to come back!
