Thrive is thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant between bookings.

This place is great - spotlessly clean on arrival and perfect for our family reunion. Plenty of room for all 19 of us. Loved the pizza oven! And well equipped kitchen for our family feast on the Saturday night. Thanks!

Memorable getaway

We had the most amazing family getaway, there is so much to do that is suitable for everyone. We loved making pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven, there was a fire pit for toasting marshmallows, loads of outdoor games and board games. There is gorgeous walks nearby and the house was lovely and clean and perfect for accomodating 19 of us! We all totally recommend Thrive, it is magical and the views are stunning!

Great family stay!

Our family booked the house for our Pops 70th birthday celebration. It was a lovely weekend away together with with the rainy weather. The pizza oven was a hit! Had a very yummy lunch and a great way to cook altogether! We got down to the river a bit and the kids loved the tree fort! Great space and quiet!

Wonderful location

A perfect place to spend time with your family or friends. An amazing location, a large comfortable house with all the essentials, including lots of books and board games. A lovely area around the house with lots of space for outdoor games. Stunning scenery with access to a beautiful river, where you can swim or just paddle. We all had a wonderful time and can highly recommend this amazing house and facilities . A big thank you to Ash.

Was a wonderful place and location. However as a venue that’s advertised to host events of up to 50 people it would’ve been nice to be made aware prior, that the property managers living on site were in a house right next to us like houses are built in the city so noise was always going to cause issues. We were asked to keep sound down after 11pm which we did with the music but plenty of friends stayed up talking into the morning and became an issue. So I wouldn’t recommend this location based solely on that it made the weekend stressful for everyone us and them and it probably shouldn’t be sold for a venue for birthday party celebrations if they can’t handle some noise for 36 hours

Loved it

We had a fabulous weekend at Thrive with extended family at the end of April. There was something for everyone. The young grandkids loved the animals, the outdoor spaces and games. Their parents went running in the Tararuas, and all of us enjoyed crossing the swing bridge and a bush walk. The house catered for us all easily, it was great. Very clean and well equipped. The outdoor pizza oven was a favourite. Thanks for sharing your fantastic property. The owner was very helpful and communication prompt. Highly recommended.

Beautiful spot great for big groups

Thrive is an amazing place to stay especially for big groups, great facilities, house is beautiful, the short work & breath taking views by the river are what I loved. We had a Hens party there and we had the most amazing time. Ash the host was so amazing communicating all the way along, very responsive and helpful. Only thing I recommend Is REMEBER towels as it is BYO and I missed this detail mangers were great & promptly provided some for us. Thanks so much again Ash for having us all at your beautiful spot. A lovely hideaway

We had bad weather during our stay but the house is cosy and warm. There's plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, and lots of activities and games provided. The grounds are lovely to explore, even in the rain.
