Bellbird Bach was everything we expected. Well appointed and equipped for a great relaxing stay. Conveniently located to explore the Nelson Lakes park, visit Blenheim, Nelson and some great wineries in Renwick area. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to friends and family.Jan and Phill
To be fair the batch fit out was much superior to what we expected and of course had some concerns to make sure everything was in order on leaving. We are of an era when a batch was a little more simple. However we enjoyed our stay and the wifi Tv was good as could log n for UTube .I did have some concern when after the deposit was paid the instructional email did not have the attachment on two occasions.Sadly these days it is difficult to make a booking direct with the owner and the attendant add on costs whiv arrise.
Only a few minutes walking from the lake and the forest, this place is incredible. The house is clean, practical, comfy, calm, well furnished. The terrasse is perfect. If I’m coming back in this area one day, sure I’ll book this house. Communication is easy with Vickie. I recommand it
Lovely small home, surrounded by native bush and birdsong, and only a five min walk down a quiet laneway to the lake.Very comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces. Only one place in town to eat out so a kitchen with all amenities for cooking was much appreciated and enjoyed. We loved our stay here - hoping to come back and stay again.
Lovely bach property 5 - 7 mins walk to lake edge surrounded by native trees and bush. Lots of birdsong. Plenty of parking and sunshine. Large deck area. Good size kitchen dining lounge for 6- 8. 2 bedrooms - each has a double / queen and a set of bunk beds so 4 in each room if needed. Good quality comfortable mattress on all beds. Great communication and easy check in.
My only quibble would be bookabach fees were almost the same as a nights stay - if this included cleaning fair enough.
However this wouldn’t necessarily stop me staying again as a lovely stay in one of most favourite parts of the world.
We loved staying here, bach was above expectations. It was very clean , comfortable, warm and beautiful surroundings. Position handy to lake and village. The beds were comfortable with good supply of duvets. The fire was lovely as weather cold when we went and a plentiful supply of cut wood. Plenty of room outside for turning with a boat. Host was very good to deal with. Look forward to staying here again.
We were so happy we stayed here. Although it was chilly on arrival the heatpump had been turned on to warm the place up before we arrived. The bach was exactly as listed. Everything we needed was there. It was warm with the fire and heatpumps. The beds were comfy. A short walk/bike ride to the lake. Was the perfect place for our mid winter escape. We will definitely be back!
We had a lovely two night stay at the Bellbird Bach. Everything was tidy and the place was warm and cosy in the winter weather. Really close to the roto which was great and a short hīkoi to the alpine lodge for a meal. Thanks so much!
Beautiful home. Super comfy. Suited us brilliantly. Lovely living area opening onto a deck with outdoor table and bbq. Bbq was a challenge - one burner very hot, the other only low heat but all good. Beautiful birdsong. Will be back!
Great location being so close to the lake. Very handy large gravel area for manoeuvring our boat trailer. Great night sleep with very comfortable beds, 10 out of 10 would love to stay here again. Many thanks,
Rosie
Nice, clean cabin a short walk away from Lake Raitoiti. Lots of birds in the area. Alpine Lodge and a take away within walking distance. Kitchen is well stocked. Beautiful place to stay. Make sure to rent or bring bedding and towels. Kitchen towels are provided.
We have stayed here several times over the last few years.
That alone about speaks for itself.
