Beautiful coast line!

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in the Bach. Access to kayaks, bikes and tennis was great fun for the whole family. The week days were very noisy with all of the construction happening in the subdivision but with great weather we hung out at the beach.

Glad enjoyed your time at Matapouri Beach Hut. We understand the noise was due to some water tanks being installed a block or so away. This required heavy machinery. We understand workers stop work at 5.30pm. Maybe worth noting most of the privately gated Matapouri Park properties have already been built and developed. Also note there is almost no traffic noise due to the Matapouri Park being a gated private community allowing only authorised vehicles. Construction in Matapouri is very limited and nothing like Auckland construction. Sorry you experienced some noise during your stay. Great you made use of the beach, just a 10 minute walk away.

Superb!!

Awsome house perfectly situated within few mins walking distance to beach. House is much more spacious than appears in photos with everything you need and more. Generous use of kayaks, tennis rackets and bike + backyard game equipment. Bonus was a trampoline for the kids. So relaxing and the beach is just amazing. Fully recommend

Fantastic host

We couldn’t go because Auckland went on lockdown for the week that we booked, but we’re very happy with the host and bookbach for refunding us all the money.

Lovely bach

Lovely place, excellent kitchen, great outdoor space, really loved the outside shower. Nespresso machine was a great addition. Only down side were noisy neighbours (Outside of the private complex) who partied every night until the early hours. However we still had a great time and will come again

Thanks you for your review. Noisy neighbours? This has never been commented upon from our past guests. Most likely the noise was coming from some nearby house being rented by disrespectful guests. Sorry you were unlucky to have this happen during your stay.

Fabulous Matapouri Bach

We had a wonderful week long stay at the Matapouri Beach Hut in at the beginning of September. The house was clean and spacious with a wonderful outdoor area for the children to enjoy. Easy walk to beach and lovely track over the hill to Whale Bay. Magic spot!

Matapouri is the place to be

We had a great time, the property is about as far away from the beach as you can get but has a really awesome walk through the gated community to get to the beach (10mins). Perfect setup for two families with kids and the kitchen had everything we needed. Modern for a bach and would be magic in summer with the big deck and grass area. Great comms with Jeff the owner, thanks for having us. We’ll definitely be back.

Modern, clean, safe property with a few toys. All the comforts of home. Having the outdoor shower is a bonus when coming back from the beach. Lovely location with short walk to the beautiful beach and walkway to the pretty Whale Bay. Great communication from the owner. Would love to go back some time.

Perfect location and stay in Matapouri

This is a pretty sweet holiday home in a pretty sweet spot of the Matapouri area. 10 min walk to the beach, 5 min walk to the Matapouri General Store and no more than 5 min drive to the other local beaches in the area (Whale Bay, Woollys Beach and Sandy Bay), and then a 10 min drive to Tutukaka. It's a super well-equipped home for a fun Summer holiday within a gated community, pretty much got everything you need. And then some.

This spacious house ticked all the boxes :)

We loved our stay - quiet location with an easy walk to the beach and general store. We slept well (comfortable beds), ate well (found everything we needed in the kitchen) and with wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. We would be very happy to come back for another stay.

A wonderful family break

We had a wonderful break at The Beach Hut . The setting is ideal, set in almost resort like grounds (tennis courts and landscaped pathways) and relatively close to the beach and store. The bach is spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped and maintained in good working order by thorough instructions and expectations. Great time had by all, many thanks.

Lovely family weekend away

We booked this house to get away for the weekend, and it was perfect. The beds and bedrooms are warm and comfortable, and the house is well set out and has everything you need. The owner left detailed instructions on where everything was and how it all worked, and was great with contact leading up to the booking. Highly recommend!

Well equipped, contemporary and clean beach hut in GREAT location!

This beach hut is in a great location. It is a short walk to beautiful Matapouri Beach, and access to Whale Bay via a short, very beautiful hike. The contemporary Beach Hut is well equiped and very clean. You open the huge doors and let the breeze come into the house, for indoor/outdoor living. The closest town is Tutukaka, with restaurants, shops and a larger grocery store, about a 15 min drive. The owner checked in with us and obviously puts a lot of thought and effort into this house. Definitely would stay here again!
