Macrocapa Heights farm

Tokomaru Bay is well appointed with four square supermarket with a 24 hour petrol stop,

The local boat ramp is across the road from the local tavern where you can order meals
or just have a quiet drink and watch the sea

The beach has miles of sand, great surf, swimming and fishing and is very quiet

At the northern end of Tokomaru Bay there are freezing works ruins
and a wharf of some historical interest which is great for family fishing.

A crayfish pot is available if you want to try your hand at catching them from the wharf

The Animals on the farm are;

A gem of a property in a tranquil part of the world. Stan was really prompt at responding to any queries with the booking and was on hand to welcome us on arrival. Stan provided some useful local knowledge for dinner options. The accommodation was well set up and would be a lovely spot for a larger group as well as smaller family groups.

Good accommodation on the Cape

This house is downstairs on the friendly owners’ farm. It has lovely views from the living room and master bedroom, lots of beds, good bathroom facilities and a good kitchen. Worked really well for an overnight stay as a family of five whilst travelling the Cape.

Short stay on the East Cape

Great location to explore the east cape. Shame that the property is a bit tired and that we had to spend the first evening cleaning the place. Food waste container on the worktop was dirty and full of ants which were also all over the sink area.
