This home is located on the first floor of the east-facing building of Lion Square Lodge with direct access to the Eagle Bahn gondola as well as all the shops, restaurants, and entertainment of Lionshead Village. Spread out in the living area to enjoy a classic novel next to a roaring fire in the slate-tiled gas fireplace. There is a small table which seats two, perfect for a game of cards or a puzzle. The east building has the truest ski-in/ski-out access around! Such a pleasant surprise!

There were so many good things about this condo property, I only wish we had booked for more than one day while driving through from point A to point B. The check in was flawless. The property was even better than the pictures, and HUGE! The fact we had a first floor unit with walk out directly to the gondola, restaurants and shops of Lionshead literally within steps was a huge plus as well!! Couldn't be more pleased and we will be back!

Minor hiccups, but overall a great trip

The condo at Lion Square was lovely! Great space for our group with incredible access to the Eagle Bahn Gondola and lifts. The staff and amenities at Lion Square were wonderful and the free shuttle to take you to/from Vail Village was SO convenient. We had a big issue with the dishwasher in that there was an inch of stagnant water that had been sitting in the dishwasher for who knows how long when we arrived. When we opened it, it stunk up the entire condo. The staff at Lion Square did address it in a semi-timely manner and did their best to fix it as best as they could. You'll definitely want to make sure that is fixed before renting this condo.

#117 was a nice place to stay. PROS: spacious, ski-in/ski-out, comfortable, good location for Lionshead CONS: Small TV with horrible speakers, the outside view is of a concrete wall, corner unit, so it can be louder than normal. The service was awful. We let the front desk know that we arrived early and they still didn't finish cleaning our room until after 4:00 PM, which was extremely frustrating. We used their shuttle, but when we called to get picked up, the phone number wasn't working. We figured out how to jump on the free bus service and told them about their phone issue when we got back. They said they already knew about it, but no one bothered to give us the alternate number before we left. This is our second time staying at LionsHead Square and because of the Vacasa service I am not sure if I would go back.

Best location ever: RIGHT at the gondola and lift

There is truly no better location on the mountain. The gondola and lift were immediately outside our door! We've stayed at Lion Square Lodge a few times, and we always wondered how we could rent the condos that are directly slopeside. Definitely worth the splurge. The condo itself was great, with a huge living room and gathering area so we could host visiting friends who were staying at other properties. The kitchen was well stocked, so we were able to do a lot of cooking, especially since the grocery store is also walking distance from the condo. We appreciated the daily housekeeping. Hands down my most favorite place to stay in Vail, and we will certainly be back.

We stayed in this property with our kids and LOVED it. I was very clean, the carpet even looked new. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the essentials, which made cooking very easy. We loved the location to just be able to walk out the door and be so close to hiking, stores, bike rental, restaurants, etc. The only negative we have about this property is that it's the corner condo of the building so the view is of the wall of a restaurant, not the common green area / gondola. Also, it's right next to a busy sidewalk of people coming and going. The staff was very helpful and very prompt to help us with any request.

Great family lodging!

This condo was perfect for our family with easy access to the slopes and many restaurants nearby. Plus the staff in the office was extremely helpful. I highly recommend this place for a family looking for plenty of room and very convenient access.
