A two-storey house combines two residences in one and situated on a 840sqm section in a regarded location. Both with separate cooking and living areas catered for two independent families (others staying downstairs while you stay upstairs).
Upstairs is a fully self-contained unit with its own private access. The sizeable entranceway with stairs leads to two bedrooms with built in wardrobes and essential bathroom plus WC. Once again the living is an open plan kitchen, dining and living layout with a hideaway laundry and heat pump. Interiors throughout are neutral and in excellent condition. Well placed windows give a pleasant garden view and have superb sunlight streaming in. Overlook the idyllic garden established with mature plantings from the lounge that create a botanical park-like feel.
A perfect balance between the vibrancy of downtown and quietness of residential suburb.

The host was very friendly. We had a nice conversation. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. There are restaurants and food markets within walking distance. The apartment is clean with large rooms.We’d stay there again.
We spent a week at this flat while my daughter attended a holiday workshop nearby. The location in Merivale/St Albans was excellent, with good restaurants, shops and supermarkets nearby.Clark was a lovely host who kindly accommodated our changing needs.

The unit is really nice and modern. The bed is nice and comfortable and there are spare blankets if needed.. It does get very warm in the lounge area on a sunny day so close the main curtains before going out. Good cooking facilities. A very quiet place to stay. We had no noise from anywhere in the six days we were there. A few few things that were no to our liking: Parking, Very tight to park on the property. Had to have bushs cut back to squeeze my car in and even then the passenger had to get out before driving in. While it is a good idea to have a child proof door at the top of the stairs, it does may the first step down rather awkward. The top of the fridge not having been cleaned in some time was not a good look.

Regarding the safety gate at the stairs, I appreciate the insight on how it affects that first step. We want to balance safety with ease of use, so I will look into whether a different configuration might feel more natural for our future guests.
