My family of six adults and two children spent a week in the apartment. We loved being only a couple blocks off a street filled with restaurants, bars, and shops. We also loved being super close to the Old City. We found parking at a secure parking garage fairly close to the apartment at 247 Rue de Franciscans. We were able to leave the cars there until we wanted them. No problems!Yes, the second level of the apartment has very low ceilings. My husband and I are short; he is 5’ 7”. We didn’t have any issue. We gave the downstairs bedroom to the tallest member of the family. Yes, the stairs are narrow, but you must remember you are in a very old city in very old buildings. We would definitely stay here again.

Poperty was clean, the ceiling in the upstairs bedrooms was extremly low and difficult for tall adults. Stairs are very steep and narrow. Livingroom, downstrairs bedroom and kitchen and bath were nice

Lovely apartment, 20 min walk to Chateau Frontenac. Felt very safe in the area. There’s 2 sets of narrow stairs leading up to apartment, definitely not for anyone with mobility issues. There’s 4 bedrooms upstairs, stairs are narrow & awkward. If you’re taller than 5’6” (upstairs bedrooms) is not for you, ceiling is very low

Highlights were location, the refurbished main floor with awesome kitchen, and large, comfortable, sitting, and chatting area, large bedroom and bathroom with shower. The 4 other bedrooms on the 2nd floor would be perfect for kids. The 2nd floor bedrooms and bath had major ceiling height restrictions. Anyone with mobility issues will struggle with 2 sets of stairs up to the unit entrance and the additional stairs up to the 4 bedrooms.

The main floor of the 3rd level apartment were very nice. The stairs to upper level were steep and the bedrooms upstairs are less then 5.5 in height.Location was amazing.Also no free parking outside building hard to find the "free" parking.The two flights of stairs to the third floor are steep and no hand railing to use.Also the toaster did not work and we could not get the tv to work.

Pros: Vibrant neighborhood with a transitional feel. Lots of restaurant choices. Kitchen and downstairs bath updated and equipped. Cons: Furniture is well used. Upstairs with 4 bedrooms seems to be a converted attic with very low ceilings (maybe 5'6") and lower door lintels. If you're taller than 5 feet, you will hit your head. Stairs very worn and steep, with a slightly loose banister. Very basic rooms upstairs. Upstairs bath sink drained slowly and the toilet had little vacuum so backed up during our stay. Contacted the owner, who responded quickly to the email, but it was toward the end of our stay so no repairs for us. Lots of random stuff stored on the outside rear porch/balcony.

Unfortunately listing does not say it is a unit, on the third floor of the building. Some reviewers have commented on very steep and difficult stairs. Indeed they were, and also on the floor where most of the bedrooms are, it could be dangerous if you missed the top stair. There is no mention in the ad of the low ceiling height and low doorways upstairs. There are no instructions for operating any appliances or the heating, or the televison. The kitchen is well equipped, but the toaster did not work. There was no oven equipment but since it was hard to work out how to use it, we didn't bother. Check in and communication with the host was poor. On arrival, and making our way to the top we discovered a Chinese family already in situ. It turned out they had been given the code for the same apartment. It was eventually sorted, and the Chinese had the apartments below us. The host blamed the platform for the problems, but we had also had issues contacting the host during the preceding days. The apartment is in a good location, and is quirky, with comfortable beds but the dining chairs are so old there is no cushioning. I would suggest more photos, particularly showing the stairs, and making clear that one has to climb two flights to get to the apartment. I would also have a folder in the apartment, giving details of how to work everything, and also the wifi code, which we only found on the back of the modem, having had that issue elsewhere.

: logement tres bien situé, très propre, propriétaire réactif aux messages.- : la 2 ème baignoires n’a pas de pomme de douche ( donc inutilisable), a l’étage qui comprend 4 chambres et la salle de bain : il faut faire moins d’1M60 pour tenir droit !! Climatisation obsolète qui est très bruyante et tient avec du scotch. Et électricité surtout de la salle de bain du haut non conforme avec du scotch.

I wish I had realized how difficult the stairs would be. Our luggage had to be taken up 4 flights of not so safe steps. Some areas even without a railing. The ceilings on fourth floor very low. One lady banged her head pretty hard. Only one entrance and exit so felt could be a fire danger. Some of the wiring was exposed. Only 1 shower although 2 baths. Not enough towels provided. Furnishing were nice.

On a eu un bon séjour, le lieux était assez spacieux pour accueillir ma grande famille pour Noël. C'est propre même si l'étage supérieure est d'une autre époque, le lieux est bien entretenu. J'ai pu comminuquer avec le propriétaire tout le long du séjour pour une question ou autre via le message. En un mot, j'ai bien aimé!
