Kotare Studio
The Kotare or Kingfisher is a smaller bird with a strong beak and possesses brilliant greenish-blue colouring. A protected native bird, you will see the Kotare perching on driftwood and feeding on small crabs. The Kotare room is adjacent to the Kahu room in the west wing, with French doors opening onto the deck, offering sweeping views over the inlet.
It features a queen bed, fridge, microwave oven, a toaster, a kettle, tea and coffee making facilities, and an ensuite with shower, vanity and toilet. Plates, cutleries, mugs and glasses are also provided. Furthermore, we recommend that our guests dispose of foodscraps in the compost bin provided in the room. The laundry is situated between the Kahu and Kotare Studios, which you can access with your room key.
