The apartment is located about 130m above the Neckar at the edge of the Königsstuhl forest with a view of the Neckar and Ziegelhausen. The Heidelberg Castle with palace garden and pharmacy museum can be reached in about 20 minutes on foot. Likewise, the Heidelberg mountain railway to the old town or to the Königsstuhl. Heidelberg's old town is known for its old university with its historic auditorium and historic Kartzer. The Palatinate Museum is also worth a visit. Strolling and shopping in the long pedestrian zone with many street cafes. Explore Heidelberg on historical paths over the old bridge to the Philosophenweg. Discover the Michaelsbasilika, Thingstätte, the Bismarkturm and much more. A trip with the white fleet on the Neckar to the 4 castle town of Neckarsteinach is also a worthwhile goal.
Various sports opportunities are offered in and around Heidelberg. Mountain bike tours to the Königsstuhl can be started directly from the holiday apartment.

Beautiful garden

The unit looks out over a beautiful garden. The rental had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable. Host was gracious and even made us reservations at a local restaurant for the celebration of our anniversary. This rental is in a very nice neighborhood.

Lovely place in the hills outside of Heidelberg

If you are looking for peace and quiet after a hectic day of sightseeing, this could be your place! It is overlooking greenery. A car is required since it is on the upper side of a hill. The host was very gracious and friendly. There are many steps down into the unit. It was a beautiful yard filled with plants and greenery. Although it was late November and cold, there were still roses on some of the bushes. The kitchen was well furnished with a market within a couple of miles. I would not recommend this unit to people with mobility problems but somehow, with my bad knees I managed! It’s within a couple of miles to Heidelberg and within an hour or two drive to Rothenberg, Strasbourg, Mannheim and other points of interest both in neighboring France or Germany.

Incredibly kind and welcoming hosts; beautiful garden setting!

The spectacular garden is what first drew us to this fabulous apartment in Heidelberg, happy to say the unit was even better in person. We found fresh flowers in the apartment and anything a traveler could possible need in the kitchen an bath. The location was ideal because it was a short 15 minute walk to the Heidelberg Castle where we spent a good half day. The location is also a short (albeit steep) walk to the train station and buses run often. Ursula and Rolf provided exceptional information regarding the local attractions but they really helped us out after my girlfriend lost her passport in Heidelberg. We did not notice until we had left the city for Austria. Rolf and Ursula took the time to pick up the lost passport at a local municipality and sent it overnight to our hotel in Vienna. Saved us a lot of time and hassle.

Wohlfühlort als Basis für die Erkundung Heidelbergs

Schöne Ferienwohnung mit zauberhaftem Garten in ruhiger Lage. Gute Anbindung mit Bus und Fips (Ruftaxi per App oder Telefon als Ergänzung der Öffentlichen) bringt einen schnell überall in die Stadt, schöne Wanderwege führen in wenigen Minuten zum Schloss. Een prima plek om Heidelberg te ontdekken.

Fijn huis, heerlijke tuin. Openbaar vervoer om de hoek om naar het centrum te gaan, maar als je een half uur loopt ben je ook in het centrum van Heidelberg. Kortom een aanrader.

Wir haben eine traumhaft schöne Woche in Heidelberg verbracht. Dank Frau G. und ihrer wirklich herzlichen und wundervollen Art mit Menschen umzugehen, ihren vielen tollen Tips für Ausflüge und sehenswerten Ausflugszielen, schaffte sie es unseren viel zu kurzen Urlaub in eine wunderschöne Zeit zu verzaubern. Die Wohnung hat alles was man braucht, was fehlt, macht Frau G. machbar. Die Zeit in ihrem Garten ist unbezahlbar, diese Ruhe, Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung. Wir sind ungern heute richtung Heimat gefahren......kommen auf jeden Fall wieder ❤️

Sehr schöne, ruhige Lage mit wunderbarem Garten

Die Ferienwohnung eignet sich für ein bis zwei Personen und ist sehr geräumig. Allerdings muss man recht gut zu Fuß sein, da sie oben am Berg liegt und nur über eine Treppe erreichbar ist. Die Bushaltestelle ist in der Nähe, der Bus fährt stündlich bis abends 19 Uhr. Die Vermieterin Frau G. Ist sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, da es sich hier überhaupt nicht wie in einer Ferienwohnung anfühlt. Egal ob es sich um den Teppich, die Bücher im Regal oder die schöne Kunst an der Wand handelt - alles ist geschmackvoll und wertig. Da die Wohnung gut gepflegt ist, spielt es auch keine Rolle dass sie schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Das gilt auch für das Bad, das seinen Nutzen voll und ganz erfüllt. Absolut herausragend ist der traumhafte Blick in den Garten, der mitbenutzt werden darf. Eigentlich sollte man tagsüber gar nicht viel unterwegs sein, sondern dieses Kleinod nutzen. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt hier sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder!
