Four-season Cottage with a shared private beach in Muskoka!

Unplug and relax in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.. At Sawdust City Sands there is a fully equipped kitchen if you would like to make your own meals, a gas barbecue to do some outdoor cooking, the boathouse restaurant at Taboo Resort is just steps away, or a 5 minute car ride brings you everything from fast food to fancy dining. Bring your family and explore. The cottage is set up for a family. Room for 6 or two couples the twin beds that can be pushed together if you want a second double bed. Both bedrooms are equipped with black out curtains so you wake up when you are ready, or have a nap in darkness. A large soaker tub where you can definitely unwind, and not to worry there is a second bathroom so you don't need to fear being interrupted. Spend some time on the trails, minutes to the Taboo golf course or grab a ticket for a tour around Lake Muskoka on the famous steamships. In the summer just float on the water or in the winter bring your sled and jump on the trails. Lots to do and not too far away. Algonquin park is an hour away if you want to do day trips. Music at the local theatre and in season amazing bands at Bala, or 30 minuets from Casino Rama if you want to catch a show.

This cottage was cozy, comfortable and super quiet. All of the comforts of home were provided and the wildlife made a few visits to say hello and welcome me to the neighborhood. The bed is SO comfortable and there’s plenty of cooking utensils, pots, pans, bowls, plates, etc. The location was great and allowed for easy exploration of Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, and Muskoka Lakes. I would absolutely recommend this cottage for a comfy summer getaway.

Our family of four including two kids aged 9 and 7, just spent an incredible getaway in the Gravenhurst/Muskoka area, and the VRBO property we booked completely made the trip.If you are traveling with children, finding a space that balances comfort with practical proximity to entertainment is everything, and this cottage hit the absolute sweet spot. The layout features two cozy bedrooms with comfortable beds that ensured everyone got a great night's sleep after long days outdoors. Inside, the open-concept kitchen, dining, and living area created a fantastic central hub for family meals and evening wind-downs, feeling spacious yet intimate.The standout feature for our family was the location. Being conveniently situated right next to a beach area provided an effortless escape whenever the kids wanted to splash around. Amazing family time

We had a great family weekend! Making great memories, we got to see baby deer, nature . Play board games since one day was rainy. I recommend staying ;)

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and very cute. The only thing I’d say is that it wasn’t quite clear in the listing that the cottage wasn’t beachfront. However overall we would definitely be back. And we loved the private beach

After a tree fell on the cottage, we thought it was about time to enlarge the space so our renter could stay and allow us and other people to enjoy the beauty the cottage has to offer. That is why you will find our long term friend in the other side of the duplex. There if you need him but will not bother you if that's your desire.

Why they chose this property

The small enclave of cottages enjoy the perks of a beautiful private beach on Muskoka Lake. In the hight of summer you can watch the steamships in the distance as you enjoy a float in the shallow part of the lake that is great for small children.

What makes this property unique

A new build on an old street in Gravenhurst all the luxury of cottage life not far from civilization. Cook at home in a fully equipped kitchen or wander to the Boathouse Restaurant at Taboo. Jump in the car and you are minutes away from a lovely selection of diverse restaurants.
