This was our second time staying here. The owners are great to deal with! The kids enjoy fishing on the dock and we have plenty of room for our boat. We are already planning our next stay here!
It was a great second home experience for us. Quiet beautiful dock area. Wonderful spot to watch the sunset from the dock and enjoy the breeze. Recommend this spot for a slow relaxing experience. We will be back for sure.
This was our first stay in the North FL area, we usually head down to the Tampa area and wow, we were so pleased to see that the “forgotten coast” lives up to its name.
This is an amazing place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Florida. Just a half hour away from Tallahassee and it’s conveniences.
The home itself is gorgeous, very clean and tidy and has literally everything you’d need for a long or short stay. We loved the charcoal grill, we were able to buy some local seafood and cook it up just the way it was intended (The oven works great but we love that smoky flavor that comes with the charcoal).
The bed was so comfy and cozy for those chilly nights in September. Plenty of extra towels and linens. The bunks downstairs smelled so fresh, we didn’t stay in them but we passed through on the way to the washer and dryer.
The air works great for those hotter days and there’s a ton of ceiling fans and extra floor fans to really cool down after being on the beach all day!
Alligator point beach is truly a forgotten gem!
We stayed after a storm had passed through in September so the water was a little murky to start off the week but cleared up within a day or two. During low tide there’s plenty of places to sit on the beach but high tide gets a little skinny due to the restoration project on the dunes currently. The “sugar sand” is true! We had never seen that kind of sand before.
While the beach is very quiet with people the oceans are roaring with all kinds of different animals, we caught so many different kinds of fish from the beach side and from the dock. We watched all the amazing sunsets, caught sight of a rainbow one night so we hurried over to the beach to get a really nice picture. While we were ogling at the sunset we saw Dolphins!
They were rushing the mullet and coming to close to the bank!
Overall our trip was everything we hoped and we will 100% be going back to Alligator Point!
Thank you to the Browns for making our trip as comfortable and convenient as possible!
This was our second stay at this property and the views of the bay never get old. Overall a super nice area and relaxing vacation. Home is very clean and has everything you need. Property owners/managers are extremely accommodating and quick to communicate on any questions. Highly recommended and we’ll be back.
The house was perfect for our family. The kids caught fish off the dock, we walked to the beach, and relaxed on the back screened deck! The kids loved the bunk room!
Fishing paradise. House was very nice clean well stocked. I cooked the hole time we where there. The local bait shops have all the fresh fish and Shrimp you can cook. The kitchen had everything from baking to frying up all that fresh food. Wonderful peaceful street no traffic. Will definitely come back in near future. The downside is that the downstairs bunch house is separate from the main house but we worked around it just find.
If you like fishing this is your place!! But most of all this is the place to unwind and relax!! My husband and I went from stressed to completely transformed and relaxed!! We can’t say enough about the owners of this house!! They went out of their way to make sure we got in and had everything we needed!! One thing, only one complete bathroom in the house which is upstairs! Toilet and shower. There’s a toilet downstairs and a outside shower ! So if you have more than one family group staying , there is only one indoor shower for everyone! It wasn’t a problem for us at all!! Loved our time at this house!!
This property is as advertised and the owner is very thoughtful and responsive. We had a very nice stay. There are 2 refrigerators which is very helpful if you need a separate freezer for extra ice, bait, drinks, etc. There were small things that aren't often present in other rentals like foil, ziploc bags, a charcoal starter (must have) for a charcoal grill so you can avoid lighter fluid etc. It is pretty clear that this is a beach house that has been well thought out. The light switch locations in a few places were a little odd, but if you've stayed on the Forgotten Coast, you will find a lot of the homes have their own little quirks. This is just what we expected. Beds were also super comfortable and kitchen was well appointed. Having good road coffee yeti's made it easy to be on the go early in the morning heading to our kayak fishing spots. Sunsets from the dock were absolutely stunning!
This was the perfect spring break location for our family. Alligator Point is a hidden gem! The house is in one of the best locations for access to fishing and crabbing in the bay with only a short walk to the beach. In fact, the beach is so close, we could hear the waves from the house. I can't say enough about the owners and the accommodations - going above and beyond!!
We enjoyed our one week stay exploring a new area. The house was perfect for rest and relaxing. We could hang out on dock or take an easy walk to the beach. The boys didn’t have much luck fishing but it was early spring and to be expected. They still had fun catching grunts and a few cat fish. Thank you for sharing your property.
There is a lot to love about staying here. The home was perfect for three adults, lots of open air spaces that really connected you to the bay. October might be the perfect time to be there as well. The house was set up perfect, with plenty of relaxing space, but the dock made it even better for us, as we brought a boat over and could jump right on it everyday for our fishing adventures. Alligator point has so much to offer in that vein as well, bay fishing protected from the bigger waves of the open gulf, but easy access to the gulf when the water is good. We caught fish everyday and were never in the same place twice. Stay in the home if you get a chance, you will be glad you did.
Very clean on arrival. Hosts were very helpful and attentive to questions. Attractively decorated. Location was great for peaceful bay view from screened porch. Had all of the needed utensils for cooking, including pots for cooking crabs caught off dock. Big variety of fish caught from dock. Quick and short trip to gulf for sunning and swimming. Several good seafood restuarants close by in Panacea, as well as bait shops. Highly recommend.
Our family of 6 had a wonderful time staying here! The home is just as pictured and well-stocked with everything we needed. Awesome communication with property manager, great location and beautiful home!
Very comfortable home on quiet dirt road. 4/10 mile pleasant walk to uncrowded beach. People very friendly. Ate at Angelos a couple times great food. Would recommend to others if you want peace and quiet. Bring bug spray!
This home on Alligator Point was the perfect place for our little trip. Super clean, everything we needed was supplied, oh-so-comfy! With only the two of us we didn't need the downstairs bunkhouse area but could image a group of kids would love it. Screened areas, open areas, a dock to fish from, well equipped kitchen, cozy couches for slowing down. During our days we traveled the area and it always felt good to come back "home", fix a little supper and walk the neighborhood as the sun set.
We’ve been hearing about Alligator Point for years from friends and we weren’t let down! It was perfect for family getaway time ❤️ The beach bungalow was even better than we expected. No problem finding it or getting in. Carrie made the whole process easy! The house was so cutely decorated and had everything we needed. The older girls loved the downstairs rooms and especially loved having their own porch to hangout at! Being bayside was absolutely perfect 😍 we had a few stormy days but on the bay, it mostly remained calm and perfect for kayaks. We watched birds and fished off the dock and even had a couple interactions with dolphins! We will absolutely be back! Cant say how much we loved it ❤️❤️❤️
Had an awesome time , house was great had everything we needed. Guys loved fishing off the dock and it was just a short walk or drive to the beach. Would love to go back sometime.
Though the weather was only good for one day, we truly enjoyed our stay in this home and on the harbour. We always stay on the beachside. This location was a short walk from the beach. We would love to return with our boat and stay at this home again. We loved this house!

Amy, we are so happy you enjoyed our home. I wish the weather would have cooperated!!! Please come and visit again.
Everything was great at the house and the owners were extra accommodating for us. We arrived at 3 am and the owners made sure we had no issues throughout the stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the view was amazing. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us.
Stayed at this listing Oct 15th-19th and couldn’t be happier with all aspects of the visit.
Owner/Manager is super responsive to all questions and went above and beyond to be sure trip was perfect.
Home is clean, well appointed and very accurately pictured on VRBO. Great fishing off the dock and good surf fishing 2 min drive or short walk. Sunrises/sunsets are amazing.
This is a very quiet and low key part of FL and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Very few people, no traffic and very relaxing which was exactly what we were looking for. Even on the weekend we basically had the beach to ourselves. We will be back.
The description in the ad doesn't do justice to the property! This place has everything you need !We tend to spend more time outdoors than in and the screened porches and dock are wonderful ,Lets not forget the outside shower! As always Alligator Point was awesome ,we kayaked every day and caught fish every day , the birds are awesome, and had a black bear visit us on our last night there! All-in Wonderful Place!
