Welcome to Sunnyside Retreat! This luxurious 5 bedroom home extends over two separate living spaces, making it ideal for two families to share. Enjoy gorgeous views of the Sou'West River from the property's various balconies or soak in the scenery from the sunken hot tub.

Gather the family around the harvest table under the covered patio or move the party to the lower garden where a stunning island stone fire pit and large sectional couch awaits. Privacy and tranquility abounds thanks to the expansive 1.5 acre lot with mature trees between neighbouring cottages. Access to the river is just steps away.

Entering the property via the 3 car garage, you will find recreational toys for your enjoyment (3 bicycles, 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards). Step into the sunny breezeway that separates the east/west wings. This is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the natural cross breeze that flows through the property.

In the west wing (lofted above the garage) you will find one queen bedroom, another with one twin bed with a trundle, a queen bed and a full bathroom with heated floors. Also located in this area is a kitchenette and large living space with home theatre. Don't miss the views from the two walkout balconies. Stay for a while on the luxurious patio furniture.

Passing through the breezeway into the east wing, you'll enter the recently renovated kitchen/dining/living space. Gourmet chefs will want for nothing in this fully stocked kitchen. Also located on this main floor is a bedroom/den with pullout twin sofa bed and full bathroom (Tub//Shower). The upper level of the east wing contains one queen bedroom, one double bedroom and a full bathroom (shower).

Young children? We've got you covered. You will find a Pack n' play, baby gates, high chair, baby bouncer, games/toys, children's cutlery and serveware on site.

Work from home? You'll love our Starlink broadband internet with speeds up to 120mbps.

Audiofile? Our fully integrated indoor/outdoor entertainment system will delight.

Close by is Cavendish where you will find many beaches, restaurants, and attractions. North Rustico is another quaint town with fresh seafood, restaurants, and the park which has live music most evenings. Kensington is where you will find the closest grocery store and amenities. Charlottetown airport is 45 minutes away (if travelling by air). Confederation Bridge is 35 mins away (if travelling by car).

Perfect Family Gathering Location

We enjoy our stay and found the property had many gathering areas for family time but also allowed for quiet time with 3 balconies off bedrooms and living areas with beautiful views of the river. The home is family friendly with children’s toys, books and a kitchen/outdoor seating area that supports family meals.

The house was very welcoming,its biggest highlight was definitely the outdoor setup. The two fire pits, the hot tub, and the lovely, spacious balcony with plenty of outdoor sofas and chairs to relax on. The balconies attached to the bedrooms offer a stunning view in the morning — perfect for enjoying a coffee.The neighborhood was very quiet, which was exactly what we needed. The location was also convenient — just a few minutes from Kensington and Summerside — making it easy to grab groceries, pick up pastries from a small café in Kensington, or restock our wine supply.The small beach just a short walk from the house was also wonderful! Although we were a bit late in the season to enjoy water sports with the available equipment, we loved walking there with the kids. We even found oysters along the shore — they were excellent — and some edible mushrooms not far from the house (be careful and make sure you know how to identify them!). What an adventure!The host was very responsive and easy to reach whenever we had questions.

Property is ideal for large family or two families vacationing. It has all the amenities needed for a relaxing and fun vacation stay. From Air conditioning to mini bar, multiple firer places, great views and large private property, river access, with Kayaks etc. Very close to beach, nice restaurants and wedding venue. The house was well kept and very spacious for our group and the spaciousness and beautiful property provided private space if needed. The outdoor fireplace and hot tub were nice amenities to unwind after a day of touring the island. Will certainly book again and would highly recommend !

This place was flawless. Perfectly decorated and everything you need to relax and unwind.

We stayed here for a week over the summer and will definitely be back. The views are incredible, the place is flawless and has everything you need. The property managers were very responsive and able to accommodate some last minute changes. They even had small peppa pig toys for my 4 yr old to play with in the office. We had a great time and loved this place.

Listen to the waves!

This 3/3 Villa is steps away from the ocean. It’s an amazing space with room for everyone. We enjoyed spending time on the large balcony watching the ocean and listening to the waves. We would highly recommend the property! We are already looking ahead to our next visit.

A perfect family getaway

We couldn’t have found a more ideal rental for our family vacation. Having lived on the island in the past, we were excited to return with our grown children. Excellent views, clean, well-equipped property.

We had a wonderful stay at this very well equipped property and Sara was a very responsive host. She met us on the first day and settled us in and answered all questions. The condo itself is bright and airy. Definitely located on the quieter side of the island where President Biden was vacationing. The Goat & Whiskey restaurant is across the street. The Buccaneer resort is a 10 minute drive so plenty of choices for eating out.

Wonderful property

This is a beautiful property set in a quiet and scenic location. It is lovely, clean and well-equipped inside and out. The wonderful balconies, hot tub, fireplace and outdoor fire pit all added to the enjoyment of this gem of a property. The host was quick to respond to any requests, and the hot tub maintenance person was very kind, knowledgable and helpful. We give our recommendation without hesitation.

A Great Place for a Family Reunion

We were very happy with our week-long stay at this beautiful summer rental. The property suited our diverse group gathered for a family reunion. The youngest person was 5 years old and the oldest was 79. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped for preparing meals, and the setting was lovely. We liked the outdoor fireplace which was well supplied with firewood and the hot tub was popular as well. We did not swim in the river as our group preferred the salt water of the National Park. Everyone was very enthusiastic about our stay.

Great family home

I brought my son, his wife and two grandsons for a Canadian vacation. The 11 and 14-year old loved the kayak and water board. The hot tub was nice. Needed a few more instructions as to how to refill and how to put the tub. The boys loved the kayak and other outdoor items. Need a small chair in each bedroom.

Paradise Perfection!

every aspect of our trip was above and beyond all expectations! Sara was and impeccable host from the very beginning phase of planning the trip all the way through to her the time that we returned home and she checked in to follow up! The condo was in such a nice quiet location, had so much more space than I had imagined, and was so incredibly thoughtfully furnished with absolutely anything and everything that you would imagine that you would need! there are certainly not enough stars available for the superiority of this experience, and we will absolutely be returning again!

Sunnyside Retreat!

Trip was great overall! Lots bedrooms for all our family. The main area family/ dining was a little tight but comfy. We had a water problem (extremely low pressure), someone was sent to fix it but couldn’t. We had to be extremely careful with water use and showering was difficult. Property manager said they would relocate us but with 3 small children and a short stay we decided to stay put and make the best of it. We had a great stay and would stay here again!

Quiet low key large condo

This gated condo has all the amenities and offers spectacular views, but no beach access. Location is relatively close to Christiansted and there is a restaurant right across the street. The pool is well maintained (not sure if heated) and there is a nice air conditioned workout area/gym was well equipped right across from the condo. There is a tennis court. Ziggy’s (good local bar) is on your way to Point Udall and both are very close to the condo as well as Goat Hill. This is not a place to stay if you cannot do stairs- not handicap accessible. You have to go down stairs to get to the living room, master bedroom, and terrace. No hand rails. Sara (host) was very responsive and very helpful. Only suggestion would be extra pillows for master bedroom (only ones were in the shams) and furniture which was cloth fabric could be cleaned. Great place for adults and a week’s stay.

Absolutely Wonderful

St. Croix is truly spectacular for those who want to get away yet have access to the outside world. The landscape is breath taking and unspoiled. Lots to do and see with an abundance of history. Most friendly island in the Caribbean is my take. Our host, Sara, so amazing!! Best host we have had in all our trips and years using VRBO. Super thoughtful and always available. Tremendous kudos to all she does and Sara assured our month long vacation was perfect and unforgettable. The property - clean top to bottom. Perfect location on the east side of the island where it is more quiet and close to Point Udal (eastern most point of the USA) and Isaac Bay. The balcony view is straight toward Buck Island where you would want to take a boat to enjoy sea Turtle viewing and great snorkling on the reef. Calm waters and beautiful mornings/afternoons/evenings. The photos we took from the balcony each day are just remarkable with all the colors in the sky and reflections on the water. The water has more blues in St Croix it seems. The neighborhood is very nicely kept and clean. Gated entrance to owners and guests only for added security. There are several grocery stores to choose from and Seaside right down the road has a great buffet for breakfast and lunch daily. Being in a condo you do have neighbors, so noise levels are to be kept low. If you are a noisy family (young kids) I would probably suggest a different place like a resort. But if you want tranquility and quiet when desired and ability to get out and enjoy lots of gorgeous beaches and things to do, then this is absolutely the right vacation home for you.
