Fantastic location, and the bedrooms are very spacious with huge beds (though we were amused to see one of the beds is being supported underneath by offcuts from a tree!). The whole place could do with a lot of updating though, particularly the kitchen and bathroom. There was quite a musty smell throughout, and the large dark furniture gives it a bit of an oppressive feel. With a bit of modernisation this place could be much better!

Overall, the place is very cozy and cute but it could use a little more love and attention. These issues will not deter me from referring or returning but are good tips for improvement. For example the bathroom cabinets do not close properly. The shower was a bit dated to me. If it was tiled up and caulked it would be much better. Other than that the only other complaints were the mismatched bed sheets on all beds. Not a huge deal breaker but if they all matched, would make the rooms look even more lovely. I loved the doors that lead to an amazing backyard. Oh, one of the dining room chair cushion is broken. I love the location and area of the rental, it is literally beautiful. The host was very friendly when I called late at night with a small issue. I would definitely return to this place.

We had a great stay at this suite in Vancouver. It was clean and the host was very welcoming and kind. A great location to see various areas around the town. The host had everything we needed.

Host did not seem prepared for 4 people staying for 5 days. Had to ask for more toilet paper, garbage bags, a plug for the sink so we could wash dishes. Only provided 1 tea towel, no kitchen towels. Nice to have a BBQ but no steak knives available. The toaster was very dirty

The property is stunning. The views in the back yard and the sounds of the creek (and that besides that it was largely silent) was worth the cost alone. The suite was very very clean . The are beds to suit everyone - the queen bed was very soft, the king beds firmer, the bed linen was very comfortable. The bedrooms were very large, and each had plenty of storage and a desk area and had doors out to the back garden . Although it did not have a/c it does have big windows and we were very comfortable - as a bonus having the window open allowed for the gentle nature sounds to come in, very relaxing at night. The host was one of the very best I have ever stayed with. Every question or concern was addressed very quickly, with the kindest and most gracious responses. DC really cares that you enjoy your stay and he and his wife were so lovely. We will absolutely stay at their beautiful home again. It had everything we needed and more

We stayed in this unit for six nights while exploring Vancouver with our kids and had an overall good experience.The biggest highlight was the location—it’s close to many attractions, shopping, and restaurants, making it easy to get around. The yard is beautiful and has lots of potential, though it would be even better with a proper patio set to enjoy the outdoor space. The bedrooms were spacious, and the beds were comfortable. Check-in was easy, and the host communicated promptly and clearly throughout our stay.A few things could be improved. I was a little disappointed with the kitchen, and I think adding a few photos of it to the listing would help set expectations for future guests. The flooring and doors are quite squeaky, and the lack of soundproofing was noticeable—we could clearly hear the guests upstairs walking around and talking, which sometimes disrupted the quiet.Overall, this is a well-located property with spacious rooms and a responsive host, but a few updates and better soundproofing would make the stay even more enjoyable.

This listing is extremely misleading. We booked this with a fair level of expectation, and after three nights, have yet to fathom the positive reviews on this place. This boasts that it is located in the “prestigious neighborhood of Vancouver”, but everything about this property was low end. There is little to no care or concern for the condition of this “suite”, or really, the actual house itself. The silver lining of this place is the new(er) flooring, along with a washer/dryer in unit. Everything else was sub-par…from the random pieces of old furniture, dozens of used and expired condiments left in fridge, to mismatched bedding, overly thin pillows (which competed with the thin toilet paper), and overtly grimy bathroom with a broken shower head that just gurgled water in all directions. The sole piece of intentionality in this place was the owners aim to save a buck on cleaning, decorating and any sort of guest comfort, by any means necessary. The “kitchen”/laundry room really just has semi-functioning countertop appliances. Overall, the place was musty and ill kept. I would heavily caution anyone looking to book this place

However, we also take your specific cleanliness and maintenance notes very seriously. Maintenance & Cleanliness: We have already addressed the showerhead with our maintenance team to ensure it is fully functioning. We have also audited our kitchen inventory and instructed our cleaning team to strictly monitor the fridge contents and ensure all linens meet our comfort standards. Property Type: Our listing is a cozy, functional 2-bedroom suite rather than a high-end luxury hotel, but we always want our guests to feel comfortable and well-hosted. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention so we can improve, and we wish you the best in your future travels.
