Gorgeous place!! The interior was so pretty and cozy, good range of amenities (i was really happy with the grill and rice cooker) host was so friendly and accommodating too! She has firewood for the firepit, quiet and private, and the hot tub was a big plus. I love how close it was to the river as well, an amazing place overall! Definitely would love to book again sometime.

The suite is located at the back ofthe house and required going down an incline with our luggage. We didn’t have time to use the hot tub but is a nice feature for those staying longer. Creamer in the fridge for coffee, nice touch! The TV was set up so you just turned in on and you could watch a movie without having to try and hookup you own accounts. Netflix and prime weee both available. Very cozy little place.

Beautiful little spot - the studio is so well decorated and all the little details are thoughtful and appreciated. Would definitely recommend a stay - book for two nights at least as one is not long enough!

We needed a place to stay on our way to Halifax and back, not far from the highway. This was a nice quiet place, very clean, lots of little extras and not over priced. Owners were very friendly. If we need to go to Halifax again we will definitely go back. Great place!!!

Lovely Place and People!

This place was perfect for us! Clean, quiet, with lovely and elegant touches throughout. We especially enjoyed: the high-speed internet; the curtain to decease the light in the sleeping space; shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the tub/shower; a few of my favorite spices; the crockpot and microwave which worked great for us since there is no stove; the small chest freezer to accompany the mini fridge; the brief walk south to a small, old, church building and fascinating cemetery with wild blueberries; splashing in the river; and Helene and Allen’s respect for our privacy, friendly, helpful conversations when we sought them out, and quick assistance when requested. The FireTub was an added bonus! If soaking in a galvanized stock tub with a small, wood-burning fire heater is your thing, please let them know so they can prepare it for you--we really enjoyed it. We hope to stay here again the next time we are in western Nova Scotia!!!
