Staying at the Arrow Park Tiny Home was truly unique experience that I am so grateful to have had. The property is absolutely stunning and the views of the mountains are incredible. The sights and sounds of nature were remarkable and one of my personal favourite parts of the trip. On top of all that, the hosts were friendly, accommodating and it is very clear that they have gone above and beyond to create a truly wonderful getaway for guests. Whether you are looking for outdoor adventure, a family friendly vacation or somewhere to truly decompress I would highly recommend staying with Kootenay Born.

Excellent rural spot for a few days. Accomodation was great, all new, clean & well equipped. Excellent spring water, outside cooking & shower facility very good.Michelle & John are awesome hosts, very friendly & provide a lot of local knowledge suggestions on recreation options.
Michelle and John were so helpful getting us settled in! They are available when you need something or have a question about trails, hikes, hot springs! The tiny was perfect! Has everything you need! The area is beautiful! I highly recommend!
Hosts were very accommodating and worked professionally to adjust a scheduling mix up. We loved our stay and access to the kayaks. Spent most of a day paddling around the area and enjoying the sunshine. Heads up this is a remote area and wifi and cell coverage is limited but we enjoyed being unplugged and spent time appreciating the beauty of the area.
We had a wonderful stay! The kids had so much fun, especially with all the kayaks and canoes available to use. They absolutely loved the bubble tent set up for stargazing—it was such a unique experience! Michelle and John even set up an extra tent for my teenager, which was so thoughtful. The tiny home was super cute and had everything we needed. Hot showers and clean outhouses were a big plus. The peaceful setting with a beautiful mountain view made it even more relaxing. Michelle and John were incredibly friendly and accommodating, offering great local recommendations. Highly recommend this place!

The Good:
- The tiny house was very clean!!!
- The hosts were great! They had the lights and heater on when we arrived, and they gave us a lovely little tour to get us settled.
- The ferry ride was fun.
- There was a window A/C unit and portable heaters to ensure we were comfortable.
- The towels were so soft!
- The main bed was comfy. Not sure about the other bed as the kids slept there.
The Surprising:
- There’s basically NO CELL SERVICE and no wifi. This was a problem for our group as we didn’t come prepared with any card games, etc. (It might be nice to have some provided).
- The shower is in a little tent outside. I’m not sure where you’d set your clothes or towel while showering as there’s no private space to dress. Unfortunately, it wasn’t working when we were there, but the hosts allowed us to use another shower in another tiny house, but there were zero window coverings in the bathroom and the water went cold after only a few minutes.
- The “1.5 baths” is actually 2 outhouses/pit toilets that you share with other groups.
- Many of the window coverings were sheer (see through) and one window had no covering. The morning sun effectively woke us all up bright and early. The sheer curtains also made us uncomfortable when changing (especially when it was dark outside).
- You can’t see the lake from the tiny house, but the view is still beautiful.
Would we stay there again? Yes, but it wouldn’t be our first choice b/c the price seemed a bit high for the value.
This place was absolutely beautiful & the amenities were the hosts ptivuded were plenty. Upon our arrival, we must admit that we were a little disappointed. The tiny cabin was perfect, however, the description & photos made it appear to be entirely secluded, but it is not by any means. It is on a farm & that is also campsite, so there are other sites for tents, campers & another smaller cabin, as well as an RV. The outhouse & outdoor sink, is a communal one for the entire site & it sits in the middle, but the hosts put up a tent on ths side if our cabin, so we had a little more privacy. We must say that the outhouses, were the cleanest we had ever seen & as this place is quite new, the hosts have planted many more trees around each of the open sites & in time, it will be absolutely perfect. The hosts privided bikes & kyaks to venture thevtraiks diwn to a beautiful, secluded sandy beach & we also had the option to purchace fresh eggs right from their very own flock if chickens. There are so many things to do around the area, including several choices of hot springs. We would definitely go again. Thank you J&M!

Our family purchased 10 acres of paradise as a blank canvas in 2020. It's been an amazing journey creating a beautiful space to share with others. Surrounded by tranquil forest trails, breathtaking mountain views and the crystal-clear waters of Arrow lake, it is a wonderful place to unwind and reconnect. Each season brings new adventures and wonderful memories we share with all of our guests.
Why they chose this property
We love the fact that we are accessed by the first electric shuttle ferry in BC. It's only a few minutes ferry ride and the views are amazing. It's a whole other world over here:)
What makes this property unique
As one of our guests said it best we are a less known paradise offering stunning Mountain views and a tranquil Serene environment. Even though it feels like you are in the wilderness, we are only 15 minutes from the town of Nakusp and all its cute boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. There are 3 natural Hot Springs within 35 minutes of Nakusp. Epic bike trails at Mt Abriel and and many awesome hiking trails.
