About this property
Cosy Two Bedroom Guesthouse in Tranquil Puriri
Enjoy a cosy, private guesthouse overlooking the peaceful Hauraki Plains countryside with its own accompanying West facing deck.
The guesthouse with kitchenette in main room, generous sized bathroom and single bedroom can comfortably accommodate 3 people - couple + 1.
Please note: Use of the single bedroom for any guest (including children) incurs an additional guest fee of $30 per night.
We live in a great location for those seeking outdoor activities and/or to relax and unwind from the busyness of daily life.
We have the Hauraki Rail trail 2mins down the road.
For those who like a challenge - there is the Kauaeranga Kauri Trail near Thames.
The beautiful Karangahake Gorge is only a 25min drive away - offering short to longer bush walks/hikes in native bushland. The Waikino Hotel and Falls Retreat offer great dining in this area.
The Pinnacles Walk located in Coromandel Forest Park and Kauaeranga Valley in the Coromandel region - 40 minute drive from Puriri. There are spectacular views of the Peninsula from the Pinnacles lookout.
Stunning Coromandel East coast beaches start from a 45 minute drive from Puriri - Waihi, Whangamata, Whiritoa, Tairua, Pauanui, HaHei, Cathedral Cove.
There is the relaxing natural private mineral spa and outdoor spa and swimming pool in Te Aroha only 30mins away - a great treat in the cooler months.
Our closest townships for shopping and dining out are Thames - 12 minute drive, and Paeroa 18 minutes.
Puriri is approximately 1hr 20mins from AK.
Side note: We have two elderly German Shepherds who are mostly indoor dogs - in the summertime they sometimes sleep in the shade in the driveway. We put them inside when popping out to do shopping etc. The female is the noisy one when guests arrive but quickly quietens down. Ronin the male is a cuddly bear who loves children.

About the host
Hosted by Leah Hemming
My husband Nick and myself live on this small, organic, lifestyle property with our two elderly German Shepherds. Being organic there is always a lot to do in the garden but is very enjoyable.
Having the guesthouse gives us the opportunity to meet people from all over and share this peaceful environment with others.
