location is close to everything but in a sparse area of town, unit was spotless, host helped with restocking supplies very quickly, and it is a secure location despite unhoused neighbors

Nice place, conveniently close to downtown. Need to be cautious in downtown core but this area felt safe and next to a church, quiet. Would stay there again.

However, we would like to clarify a few points regarding your "cons" list to provide a more accurate perspective for future guests. It is poorly written, and we have tried to make out what is being said.
Factors Outside of Our Control:
While we strive to provide a stellar experience, we cannot control the city’s neighborhood activity or the status of adjacent properties. We find it a bit unfair to receive a lower rating based on public streets and neighboring buildings that are not part of our property. Our focus remains on maintaining the high standards of the suite itself.
Living Standards and "The Elephants":
Regarding your comment about "elephants" living upstairs: please note that these are human beings—our neighbors—living their daily lives. While we understand that sound can travel in multi-unit buildings, we advocate for mutual respect and avoid using derogatory labels for others.
The Unit Experience:
Heating: The heater is sized appropriately for the square footage of the apartment. Like any space or system, it requires a short period to reach a target temperature, especially during colder spells - it was -20 degrees Celsius during your stay.
Ambience: We use subtle scents to ensure the unit smells fresh for every arrival; we’re sorry if this was more "punchy" than you preferred.
Cleanliness: We maintain a rigorous cleaning standard. While we regret that a stray hair was missed, we would have been happy to send the cleaning crew back immediately had you notified us at any point during your very short stay.
We appreciate the tip about the eye mask for those sensitive to light, and we will look into heavier window treatments.
We wish you more comfortable travels in the future.
Check in was very easy and seamless. Clear instructions were provided.The space itself was nice and cozy. The property was clean. There are 2 units above this one (this unit is on the ground floor) and you do hear the other tenants a bit, but nothing major.Olu was responsive and helpful!Good area and are able to walk downtown in about 20 minutes or a 5 minute drive.
