Hi, I’m Simon – the house manager of The Beach Shack on Little Reef and a proud Port Douglas local. I love the tropical lifestyle and the adventure that comes with living on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Whether it’s snorkelling, hiking, or just enjoying the outdoors, this region has so much to offer. I also adore the local café scene, fabulous restaurants, and boutique shopping that make Port Douglas such a vibrant destination. Outside of hosting, I run a fashion styling business and bring over 25 years of experience in the fashion industry to everything I do – from personal styling to curating beautiful spaces like this one.

Located right on the edge of the world-famous Four Mile Beach, it’s a rare gem. I was instantly drawn to its quirky 1970s design, with generously sized bedrooms, a large open-plan living and kitchen area, and a layout that celebrates both space and character. The fencing provides excellent privacy and security, while the huge pool, complete with a spa and a fantastic entertaining area, makes it the perfect tropical retreat for families or groups.
