🛏 Main Bedroom

Spacious and Western-style, this room features a queen-sized bed and a king single daybed/sofa—ideal for families. There’s also room to lay out a futon or two if the kids want to be close by.

🛏 Tatami Room

The second bedroom is a traditional Japanese tatami room with space for up to three thick (12cm) king single futons—a serene and authentic experience.

🦌 Lounge Room
From the lounge room, large windows frame views of the surrounding forest. Keep your eyes open—you might spot a deer or the elusive Hokkaido fox! It’s the kind of space where time slows down and nature takes center stage.

Additional Information

* Identification:
As required by Japanese law, all international guests must submit a copy of their passport prior to check-in.

* Shoes:
Kindly remove your shoes in the foyer before entering the house. We appreciate your cooperation! 🙏

* Noise:
Please be mindful of noise levels, as the accommodation is located within the Mogami residential community. We ask that you treat the space with respect, as you would your own home.

*Fireworks, Barbecues & Fire pit:

Please note that fireworks and barbecues are not permitted on the property due to its forest foothill location. Under Japanese law, fire pits on residential property within housing areas are prohibited.

*Strict Prohibition on Bringing Cooking Appliances:
The following appliances are strictly prohibited for use inside the property for any kind of cooking (including yakiniku, hot pot, steamboat, teppanyaki, etc.):
>Hot plates
>Portable gas stoves
>Any similar cooking appliances involving open flame or high heat
Use of these appliances may cause severe damage to wallpaper, furniture, flooring, and other interior fixtures due to smoke, odors, oil splatter, etc. From the standpoint of safety, hygiene, and consideration for other guests, such use will be deemed a violation of the house rules. If these appliances are used, all actual costs for cleaning, repair, odor removal, etc., plus additional fees will be charged. Please carefully confirm this prohibition before making your reservation.

*Smoking Policy:
>Smoking is strictly prohibited indoors and on the wooden deck, including e‑cigarettes and vapes.
>Smoking is only permitted outdoors, in designated areas. Please use the red ashtray bins located in the parking lot.
>Violations of this policy may result in charges for cleaning or repair costs.

*Japanese Tatami Room:
Please refrain from eating or drinking in the tatami room. If any stains or damage occur, a replacement fee of 11,000 yen per tatami mat will be charged. Guests traveling with small children are kindly asked to take precautions such as bringing diapers. If the bedding is damaged, cleaning or replacement fees will be charged.

*Wi-Fi equipment:
Wi‑Fi equipment must not be moved, damaged, or misplaced. In case of damage or loss, a replacement fee of ¥55,000 will apply.

*Bedding & Consumables:
Bedding is provided according to the number of guests listed in the reservation. Consumable items such as laundry detergent and seasonings are provided in quantities based on the number of guests and length of stay. If you require more than the provided amount, please purchase additional items at your own expense.

*Capacity:
The property is comfortable for up to six guests. If needed, we can provide extra futons to accommodate up to two additional people for an additional fee.

*Key Lockbox & Privacy:
Check-in is contactless via the key lockbox. Unless you need assistance, we strive to provide you with a peaceful and undisturbed stay.

*Luggage:
You may drop off your luggage in the foyer from 11:00 AM on the check-in day. Unfortunately, we cannot store luggage after check-out.

*Late Check-Out:
We will be happy to consider late checkout requests depending on our reservation schedule, and will do our best to accommodate them where possible.

*Abandonment of Large Waste:
We strictly prohibit leaving behind oversized items such as suitcases or large luggage, which cannot be collected by standard waste disposal services. If such oversized waste is left behind, we will charge you for all actual costs and additional fees for disposal. This includes, but is not limited to, costs for arranging hauling, transportation, and disposal services.

*For guests planning to stay on or after April 1, 2026:
Starting from stays on April 1, 2026 and onward, the Hokkaido Accommodation Tax and Otaru City Accommodation Tax will be introduced. Except in the cases listed below, the tax will be calculated as follows:
Number of guests × Number of nights
Additionally, bedding will be prepared according to the number of guests for whom accommodation tax has been paid.

*Children under 2 years old who share a bed with an adult are not included in the accommodation fee, and therefore are exempt from the Hokkaido Accommodation Tax and Otaru City Accommodation Tax.
However, if a child under 2 years old requires a separate bed, please add them to the “Ages 2–12” section when making your reservation.
In that case, the Hokkaido and Otaru accommodation taxes will apply.

*Check-Out Procedures:
1. Dishes
Please wash all dirty dishes and place them in the drying rack for the cleaning crew to put away.
2. Towels
Any wet towels should be left in the washing machine.
3. Air Conditioning & Windows
Turn off the air conditioning and make sure all windows and doors are closed.
4. Keys
Return the house keys to the key lockbox. 10,000 yen will apply if key is lost.
5. Waste
Please separate the trash and dispose of it in the bin provided in the kitchen.

Otaru is full of charm and history! Enjoy a variety of dining experiences from yakiniku and jingisukan to the freshest sashimi Hokkaido has to offer. You’ll also find delightful cafes, sweet shops, and souvenir stores. For a fun night out, karaoke and bars are just around the corner. The local culture, fresh cuisine, and rich history will leave you with wonderful memories.

Relax in the Backyard:

In the serene backyard, let the soothing forest sounds calm your mind. Feel free to enjoy the garden and shaded outdoor decking area. We provide comfortable foldable chairs and yoga mats—perfect for a peaceful morning coffee or a relaxing picnic.

Nearby Attractions:

The Tenguyama cable car is just a short walk away, or if you're visiting in summer, the drive to the mountain’s peak is only 11 minutes. There’s so much to explore in this beautiful area!
