About the host
Hosted by Dana O-B
We are not just renting our cottage to our guests. We strive to build trust, foster connection, and make our guests feel like they’ve found a home away from home.
Why they chose this property
Just 2 minutes away from our place, Lake Huron opens up for both swimming and sunbathing during the summer days and majestic sunsets year around. My favorite, however, are the sunsets. As the sun sinks behind the Lake Huron's horizon, at "The Rocks", the show transforms into a watercolor dream. This place, ancient and weathered, catch the last golden rays, their surfaces glowing like embers. The lake lies still, reflecting the sky’s kaleidoscope of colors—lavender, peach, and deep indigo. It’s a moment of quiet majesty, where nature whispers its goodnight.
What makes this property unique
Sunny Meadow Retreat stands out as a rare one‑acre private escape in the heart of the Northern Bruce Peninsula, offering guests the perfect balance of seclusion, nature, and convenience. Just 1.7 km from the hidden‑gem Lake Huron access known as “The Rocks,” the cottage provides easy access to crystal‑clear waters for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and unforgettable sunsets—without the crowds of Tobermory or Saugeen (Sauble) Beach. Its true dark‑sky setting makes it ideal for stargazing, while the spacious yard, family‑friendly amenities, and cozy open‑concept layout create a warm and welcoming environment for groups of all ages. Surrounded by rich local history, wildlife, and rugged shoreline, and located within quick reach of top attractions like The Grotto, Lion’s Head Lookout, and Bruce Trail hikes, Sunny Meadow Retreat offers a uniquely peaceful yet central base for exploring the best of the Bruce Peninsula.
