This two bedroom retreat can comfortably accommodate four guest. Lovely but remote

Several additions to this unit would have made it a lovely stay. A full length mirror in the master bedroom, a cutting board in the kitchen, towel bars in bathrooms, a kitchen sink stopper, cleaning powder to scrub coffee stains from coffee mugs, instructions on how to use the three TV remotes, and prior information for tenants on where to find the hidden lock box would have made this unit more pleasant. In addition, a more attentive manager would have made us feel more welcome. We never met Georgina, she did not stop by, she did not call to ask us if we had any questions. All of our other rentals had property managers who gave us directions, instructions, and some brought food and wine, and stopped to visit.

Good but needs improvement

The property overall is good. It is a secure gated small community of 11 homes. The home was is good condition. The location was good and provided easy access to the beach. The beach chairs provided were a great touch. We had a number of problems, some very minor, some more important. They were not addressed. Communication with the property manager was challenging for the most part. Georgina had sent a note asking that we communicate through an email address outside of VRBO, which is not my preference. She then asked us to communicate through WhatApp, which I do not use. She did not respond to email in a timely or complete manner. This was frustrating. Finally, we did communicate with WhatsApp and that was better. I will detail some of the issues we encountered. None were solved. At some point, I just told Georgina not to bother having someone come and fix any of these - we just decided to deal with it and not be bothered. 1) I could not find a cutting board in the kitchen - a pretty basic requirement for cooking which we did every day. 2) There were two relatively nice sauté pans, but both had scratches because the only spatulas were metal. 3) The two ceiling fan controls in the main room were not labeled, so it was some trial and error to get these to work. The speed of the fan over the dining room table could not be adjusted. The light on the fan in the living room area did not work. There are NO other lights in this space, making the living room very difficult to use.
