Chris was awesome, very communicative, the unit was perfect for our needs, close to the wharf, a beautiful view from the balcony, the beds were comfy, all we could ask for. When we return to Manly, we hope to stay again!

We were very disappointed on arrival to find the unit immediately above us was having a rebuild & consequently the noise throughout the day was very hard to put up with. I would of thought we would have been advised of this when making our booking & we could of decided to make a booking elsewhere we certainly received very poor information
2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms Could not believe our luck when finding this property. Christine is a lovely host, very welcoming and easy to communicate with. The unit suited our needs perfectly as we were attending our daughters wedding and needed somewhere close and within easy walking to the yacht club. (an 8 minute level walk) The bedrooms are very bright & airy, with plenty of hanging space, the beds were very comfortable. The views amazing especially from the balcony. Great way to start the day, breakfast on the balcony. The wharf is a 3 minute walk away.Its a short walk to restaurants and shopping.Swimming across the road or short walk to main beach or Fairy Bower Pool.Being able to park our car off road and forget about it for the weekend was a bonus but only suited for small car. We have a RAV4 it was a tight squeeze. Suggest unloading before parking in garage as elevator starts on ground floor.
The building was under construction. We were on 6th floor and the construction was on the seventh floor. We had to endure Jackhammers all day long. It was so loud we could not hear one another talk. One night construction went on all night long. I alerted host and VRBO that we wanted to relocate after 1st. After seven days and no resolution we have left. I have been on the phone with VRBO every day many times a day. The host quit responding. We were extremely upset with the construction which has VRBO been going on since January. Upon arrival we could not get in nor could we contact host for ck in instructions. We sat outside in the dark at 10:30 at night waiting to hear back from Vrbo who tried to contact the host and get us the entrance information. The host finally responded to VRBO and Vrbo responded to us. Upon arriving every room required a remote control to control the light and fan. They only had one remote control for the entire unit. The others were missing. We had problems with bugs so we had to keep everything in the refrigerator. The place was dusty and appeared to not have recently been cleaned. There were four of us. We had four plates, knives and forks, we had only three cereal bowls. There were no pots, pans or large bowls to prepare meals or try to cook with. There was seating for only two people. The TV was not hooked up as requested. At one point I reached the host and she hung up on me. VRBO has not been proactive in resolving this issue.

Lynda represented a Host's nightmare. She telephoned through the booking site, at 10.15 pm on a Sunday night, clearly in the apartment alleging she could not gain access. She was talked through the instructions to where the kitchen switches were. By agreement, I attended the next morning to go through how the basic remote controls etc. worked.
There were some clean up works being carried out, in the building. All work being required to be completed by 3.00 pm. Her husband specifically commented this was not a problem as they planned to be sight seeing during the day.
The balcony doors have double glazing to reduce or eliminate outside noise. It is a resort area, not a farm stay.
One evening, at 11.30 pm, I received a call from an unidentified number. The caller asked me, to identify myself. I asked who I was calling and the response was, "you don't get to ask that". Naturally I hung up. I had no idea it was Lynda.
The kitchen was appropriately stocked for a short-term letting.
It was professionally cleaned before and after the stay. The apartment is opposite park and beach, bugs can fly in if doors wide open.
Lynda stayed for whole booking then requested a further 50% discount, which I suspect this was the object of the exercise.
Fortunately, my guests are delightful, and happy with the stay and a pleasure to host. You always get one, I suppose, that you can never make happy.
