The main advantage of this large house is that it can accommodate a group of 18 people: 12 in 6 bedrooms and 2 in 1 separate room. The 6 bedrooms have 140/200 beds, and the connecting room has a sleeper sofa. I’ve added one sofa bed in the living room (16) and one bed on the second-floor landing (18), which allows this guest to have some privacy from the rest of the house and keep the bed open for the duration of their stay. A large common area allows you to cook and eat meals together. I provide a wide range of kitchen utensils and equipment. A new boiler with continuous hot water supply allows everyone to take a shower, a bath (one bathroom upstairs with a tub and no shower stall), and a shower (an 80/80 shower pan with a curtain) in the downstairs bedroom. I’ll gloss over any flaws that might be pointed out: it’s an old house, worn, lived-in, and not exactly luxurious… But it’s full of charm and has plenty of space for “living together.” No “big screen,” just two tiny, tiny TVs. The enormous door is original, and I cherish it dearly. I’ve lived with this house for 32 years; I built it myself, and it doesn’t aim to compete with any beautiful property owned by a wealthy owner.
