The hosts were wonderful and location was fantastic. We were missing a blanket and once we told John he brought us one same day and made up for the inconvenience. Would love to come back!
Enjoyed another peaceful Autumn stay at this homey cottage. All the comforts of home. The Host was just a text away for any questions or concerns. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a quiet getaway.
I stayed with my husband for a birthday/anniversary weekend. We had beautiful weather and were able to fully enjoy the outdoor space. It was gorgeous and we enjoyed exploring the local shops and restaurants. The cottage has everything you could need for a relaxing wonderful stay.
Third time I have stayed here. Love the location and the cottage is well cared for. Had my family over for a picnic and I dont think they wanted to leave. Perfect spot!
Great place to relax, small and perfect. Loved the bald eagles, airport with small planes coming and going across the river, even saw the bridge open bridge close. Absolutely great waterfront
I stayed here with my 2 sons, it was very cute, comfortable, well appointed, and had a wonderful little beach that the children loved playing on. We had a wonderful stay and the views on the river were amazing! Absolutely worth another visit. Thank you!
This property exceeded expectations. The house is beautiful, quiet, fully stocked with everything you could need. The outdoor area is gorgeous and private with amazing views of the river. We cannot wait to visit again. John and betsey are wonderful hosts, we cant thank them enough.
A cozy cabin and a wonderful table to work from while enjoying the beautiful view. I hope to visit when the weather is warmer to make use of the outside area by the river. Great hosts and easy to communicate with.

Linda thank you for leaving the cottage it great condition. I am not sure why the 4star review of cleanliness came through as I thought I put 5 stars. My mistake. You left the cottage super clean and we want to say thank you!
Completely remodeled 1 bedroom home with a pull out sofa. Perfect for 4 people. Beautiful front yard on the river with a firepit and an outside bar made out of a boat! If you are headed to this area and need a place to stay, this place is for you!
Exceptional Property !! Direct river access, great view, deep water boat dock, beach and steps to the water, 10 miles from the ocean, watch boats go by and small airplanes land across the river. We saw bald eagles daily ! Great clean property ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We stayed for Friday and Saturday taking time to explore the area; Mystic, Chester and Old Saybrook to name a few. Great area restaurants, take in a show at the Goodspeed or just sit by the water and relax. Unfortunately our weather did not cooperate, but the dock/bar/fire pit area are beautiful for a relaxing day by the water. Thank you for sharing your cottage!

Incredible attention to decoration details. Very well supplied.
A real gem!
Thank you to the most kind and accommodating Hosts.
Haddam was the half-way point for my daughter who lives in Maine and we're from PA. The Haddam house was a perfect home away from home experience we needed to spend time together as a family. The bridge is under construction but other then that it was a great place and great stay. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at the Haddam House. The location was perfect as we attended a family wedding at the Gelston House across the bridge. The outdoor area was great and we had fun sipping drinks and spotting seaplanes landing. The location was near to all we needed with a grocery store and restaurants just a short distance away. This made a great base to explore the area and we visited the Old Essex, took a ride on the steam train/river boat, toured Gillette Castle and made a trip to the Lavendar Pond Farm in Killingworth. Thanks to the friendly neighbors that we met on a walk for the recommendations and tanks to host John for the good communication and enjoyable stay.
This property was awesome. Very cozy little house. Exceptionally clean and just enough for two people. The property is spotless and well kept. You could just feel the hospitality within the home. Our host John communicated very well. There is everything you need. The views of the CT River are beautiful. We had dinner at the Gelston House and saw a show at the Goodspeed which are just a 2 minute ride or 10 minute walk across the bridge. Great home for sure. Definitely five out of stars and more.
