When we first arrived, I was not very happy with parts of the house. There were multiple dead bugs in the basement, so most of my kids did not want to stay in the bedrooms down there. Unfortunately, that put a lot of us staying in the few rooms upstairs. There were also many live ants in the "theater" room downstairs, so the kids didn't want to watch movies down there or play the Xbox that was provided either. We noticed that most of the bugs were located near the door next to the bathroom (it was locked, but I'm assuming it was a storage room because the flooring looked unfinished from what I could see under the door). We tucked a towel under that door, hoping to stop most of the bugs, but I don't know if that helped. I realize this house is situated in a "woods" setting (which is very beautiful and peaceful), so I understand that some bugs/animals are to be expected. However, I was hoping that it would have been freshly cleaned when we arrived. Other than the bug situation, we were very happy with the rest of the house. Had we been able to use all of the rooms, the house would have had plenty of space! Having a washer and dryer at the house saved us from having to drag home wet swimsuits from the waterparks. The location of the house is wonderful! Everything we wanted to do in the Dells was less than 15 minutes away. Overall, we really liked the house, and the convenient location that was also away from all of the loud, touristy areas.
