Raleigh was an incredibly efficient communicator. Any questions I had were answered in a very quick and detailed manner. The apartment was very clean, easy to access, and very spacious for the price we paid, very comfortable and felt like a home away from home. If you are looking to stay in the Halifax area, this is the place to stay.

Very spacious kitchen and bedroom. Tall ceilings for a basement apartment! Two tv’s. Very clean and perfect half hour easy drive into Halifax for seeing the sights. Nice neighborhood for walking our dog, as well as nice waterfront park a short drive away. Nearby grocery store too.

The Host was super responsive, even given the 4-hr time difference between us when booking, and still fast when I was here. Place was exactly as depicted. She advised the dishwasher was broken & to please not use but it was only me so not an issue. It was interesting figuring out which light switches worked which lights, but that’s minor. There are also lots of restaurants in the vicinity, and you’re only 15-20 min from d/t Halifax or 20-25 from the airport. Pretty centrally located IMHO. I would 100% recommend this place and would definitely consider staying here again. Thanks a ton to the Host!

Stayed one night. Basement apartment . Bed was king sized and comfortable. A/c was in BR and that cooled the rest of the unit….so temp was unbalanced but workable if not a bit cold in bedroom but overall comfortable.Communication with owner was spotty. Had to ask for entry code (was not sent prior) My complaint was : NO COFFEE MAKER!!!!!! Even a crappy motel has a coffee maker. I messaged right away after we arrived once i noticed this. Crickets. Super disappointing and while it would seem a small detail it really made the stay (much) less enjoyable. I need coffee in the morning and enjoy getting up early to have it. Fail. Owner responded over 13 hours later after my inquiry to say that a coffee pot was not provided and that there was a coffee shop a short drive away. Oddly there was ground coffee and filters available. Even a pour over would be fine as there was an electric kettle for water. Also, the fridge had not been cleaned from the last visit so old rotting food and crumbs were in it . Kinda gross. I let owner know this right away and they noted they overlooked this when cleaning and apologized. Fine. Overall a nice place in a nice neighborhood. Parking on driveway available. Would be nice to have garbage bins available outside to deposit trash. Owner said to leave outside door? Ok. The coffee conversation really soured my visit. I would stay again if that were remedied. It’s an easy fix and it’s a nice house in a nice location.
