In the heart of the Fontainebleau Forest—a legendary destination for rock climbing and hiking—we welcome you to the “Cosy Corner de l’Escal’Arbonne” for a getaway with family or friends, or to host your seminars.

Just 50 km from the outskirts of Paris, ideally located between Fontainebleau and Milly-la-Forêt, and only a few kilometres from the Barbizon painters’ village, come stop by and stay with us!
You’ll be charmed by the surroundings, the tranquility, and the natural beauty!

Accommodation
Enjoy the comfort of a new building completed in July 2021, featuring warm and original decor. A large, fully furnished and equipped holiday rental that can accommodate up to 9–10 people depending on your group’s configuration. Sleeps 9 adults + 1 permanent cot.
Everything has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate groups and families. Remote work made easy: excellent Wi-Fi and various office spaces with RJ45 ports in every room.
On the ground floor:
- a spacious and convenient entryway to store everyone’s coats, bags, and shoes, with a compartment for crash pads.
- Large living area with a brand-new, fully equipped open kitchen (oven, induction cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, complete set of cookware, coffee maker, etc.).
- Farmhouse table for meals, board games, or work meetings
- Cosy sitting area with a flat-screen SMART TV
- Double bedroom with a 160cm bed, desk, and storage
- Shower room / bathroom

Upstairs:
- 3 beautiful bedrooms, each approximately 15m², and a spacious shower room.
- The Dormitory: a room with 3 single beds (90cm wide) featuring a minimalist and sleek decor.
- La Vallée: A room with two 90-cm single beds that can be pushed together if needed. Featuring a scenic landscape theme! Desk, storage, and space to add a travel cot.
- L'Herbier: A room with one 160cm bed and one cot, featuring a more delicate floral theme.
- Shower room with a 90x120 shower, large vanity unit, storage, toilet, and changing table.

For your comfort, at L’Escal’Arbonne, all sheets and towels are included in the price. The beds will even be made for your arrival!

For the enjoyment of young and old alike, we provide a variety of board games, as well as toys for children of all ages, books, and comic books.
If needed, a high chair and a baby bathtub are available.

Outside, you can enjoy a terrace under the birch trees, complete with patio furniture, a beach umbrella, and a BBQ reserved for the cottage.

Very quiet setting. Large, fully enclosed garden featuring magnificent century-old pine trees and a majestic, protected oak tree. Play equipment for children (swing, slide, 4-meter trampoline, Molkky, balls, etc.).
Please note: Use of the outdoor play equipment is shared with the guests of our second holiday rental (for 5 people), located on the opposite side of the property.

Access is via a gate (which will soon be motorised) with 3 secure parking spaces.

Climbing enthusiasts: we’re located just a few minutes from the most famous climbing sites (Isatis, Cuisinière, Gorge aux Chats, La Canche aux Merciers, Drei Zinnen, Cuvier, Le Cul de Chien, Apremont, etc.). You’ll be there in just 3 to 15 minutes!

For amateur or competitive riders, we’re a 5-minute drive from Barbizon and 10 minutes from the Grand Parquet.

And for hikers, you’ll have direct access to the forest right from the house! There are numerous trails just a few minutes from the village. We’d be happy to provide more information:

And let’s not forget culture—we’ve got plenty to offer there as well: you can visit magnificent castles (Fontainebleau, Courances, Vaux-le-Vicomte), stroll through the art galleries of Barbizon, or discover more unique sites such as the Cyclop sculpture, Jean Cocteau’s house, the Chapelle des Simples, and the villages lining the Loing River.

Guest access
Shared access to the garden and children’s play areas (swing, trampoline, outdoor games, etc.). Secure key box available in case of arrival while we are away.
