Since the unit was in the basement, it is hard to describe it as “sunlit”. However the unit is roomy and bright (white paint) and comfortable. All furnishings are very new (IKEA) and in good shape. Some floor coverings would be nice to warm up the walking areas. Our microwave didn’t work. Both hosts responded immediately and we had a new microwave in place that very day! Some additional pots and other kitchen items would be appreciated but on the whole the kitchen was well supplied. The hosts provided a variety of “welcome treats” that were a very pleasant surprise on our arrival. The neighbourhood is very nice and totally safe, with a grocery store and several restaurants within a short drive. The neighbourhood was very good for walking with paved trails nearby. Bus stops that took us to Skytrain connections are just 1.5 blocks away. We were able to get to downtown Vancouver in less that an hour.
