Manatee watching April-May-June and on & off through the rest of the year. Kayaking East to Myakka or West to Venice Jetty’s. 2 miles from Nokomis Beach. 2 miles to downtown Venice. The whole house was great! Very peaceful! We did get to see a small shark in the canal behind the house we were very surprised! Shane was a great host and gave me heads up on recent change in the house before arriving. I definitely would stay here again.

This property is absolutely outstanding, inside and out. We love the location for easy access to the Legacy Trail just a half mile away, ideal for walking and biking. And it's right on the water with easy access for kayaking. The hosts are right next door, and readily available should you need anything. Five stars all around!

Boating is our happy place. We live in this area because we love that we can get to the gulf from our home but are still nestled away from all the hustle bustle.

Why they chose this property

Nokomis is a boating community. The neighborhood is quiet. It has many canals and is enclosed by 2 creeks - Shacket and Curry. It is near several beaches, close to grocery stores and retail stores and near downtown Venice for shopping! There are many wonderful restaurants close by.

What makes this property unique

The view at this property is amazing from dawn til dusk. There is a bird sanctuary behind the house on the other side of the creek. You can see all sorts of wildlife from birds, to gators, to manatee and all sorts of fish species. It’s in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by water yet close to everything.
