About the host
Hosted by Karen Kight
The mountains have been a part of our life for as long as we can remember. After our daughter started at Appalachian State University, we bought a condo at Sugar Ski and Country Club for weekend visits and access to skiing. we renovated the condo and fell in love with Sugar Mountain and hope to share our love of the mountains by hosting our condo.
Personally, we have been married since 1988. We have three children. Our daughter is married and has two young boys. Our oldest son is married with an infant and our youngest son will be attending Appalachian State University in fall of 2023. We enjoy skiing, hiking, restoration projects and traveling.
Why they chose this property
We believe you will enjoy this unit as much as we do. The privacy of this particular unit is unique to the complex. It has two parking areas unlike any other buildings in the complex. The unit can be accessed by either lot. The end unit provides additional windows that are not in the interior units. This provides additional sunshine and a nice cross breeze in the summertime.
What makes this property unique
This unit is in the only true ski in/ski out complex on Sugar Mountain Ski Resort. The complex sits on Oma's Meadow. Building 8 has a bridge that connects to the ski slope. If Oma's Meadow is not open, you can still walk to the main slope to ski down.
This unit has been opened up to feel much larger than the traditional layout, allowing room for family members to move around the unit freely, without colliding into one another.
