Parking for a maximum of 3 vehicles.
1-acre fenced yard on 10+ acres of wooded mountainside for on-property hiking.

WINTER GUESTS:
If it snows during your visit, you'll need to shovel snow by the gate and move your vehicles when the snowplow comes. We hire a Snowplow to clear the driveway and your parking area if it snows over 4" and won't melt off. We provide snow shovels to clear the area around your vehicle and the gate.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Strip only sheets & pillowcases from beds; leave blankets on beds for Cleaner to handle.
Turn down heat/air conditioning (not off), and please close blinds.
Place used sheets & towels in laundry basket in entryway.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Gates to be kept closed at all times. If possible, please remove shoes inside to protect carpet (recommend slippers).
Please conserve energy when possible: Turn off lights, turn down heat or a/c whenever you leave, close blinds to retain heat or block sun, etc.

Quail Cottage is located on wooded acreage on a quiet, dead-end street. Situated on a rim lot overlooking the Kootenai River Valley and offering views to the west of the Selkirk Mountains. You'll find a peaceful, private space that will allow you to unwind from your busy city life. Enjoy nature on a bright, sunny day, or relax indoors if the weather turns and watch a storm blow across the valley below.

What makes this property unique

While the property feels as if it's miles from town, it's only 5 min outside of town. Enjoy a full kitchen for preparing your own meals or visit some of the local restaurants.

A fire pit, picnic table, and charcoal grill offer you the option of roasting marshmallows and barbequing burgers for a picnic-table meal, and star-gazing at night. Enjoy watching the neighborhood Deer graze at the perimeter of the fenced 1-acre landscaped lot, and if you're lucky, glimpse the occasional Bald Eagle soaring overhead.
