About this property
Cabin on the East Fork
Cozy log cabin on 40 private acres. 5 miles from the recreational hub of Hatfield, WI with Lake Arbutus and the Black River. We have a full kitchen with all cooking and eating supplies. Upper outside deck with an umbrella, table and 4 chairs. When looking from the cabin deck towards the end of the driveway there is an outdoor area with a picnic table, Weber 22 inch charcoal grill, and fire pit to enjoy the outdoors. A great get-a-way for you to Canoe/kayak, boat, hike, atv, scuba dive (Lake Wazee), go antiquing, XC ski/snowshoe and and down hill ski (Levis Mound). **Please note that while the property itself is secluded, we (the property owners) live in the house right next door. **For those with ATV trailers please take note that the driveway presents a tight turn around. Most will unhitch the trailer and turn it around by hand to face out for later departure. IMPORTANT: ATV's are NOT allowed to cross the bridge over the East Fork of the Black river...as such you can only access Jackson county trails by riding out of our driveway up to Neillsville to access Clark county trails (and thereby Jackson county trails) or by trailering your ATV's down to the Clay School road parking area 5 miles away.

We had a great experience with our trip. The place was clean and the owners are very reponsive when something is needed. The owners were nice to talk to and let us have our privacy. Would recommended to anyone looking for a place to stay.
Our stay at this place was amazing! We came out looking for relaxation and quiet and got exactly that. With the house being in the middle of the forest, it was so quiet and calm with a beautiful view on the drive there. The house was everything it described and a very pleasant experience. I would definitely come back here again.
My family needed to get some relaxation in with the hustle of summer softball taking alot of our time. Checked on the old VRBO and this place caught my eye. My 7 and 12 year old daughters thought it was the coolest place to stay. It was clean, the beds were comfy, and just had a great feel with large windows and deck. So glad we stayed there!!!
Beautiful home nestled in the woods. The home was cozy, quiet and impeccably clean. The location is close to the ATV trails. Nature sounds all around. Would highly recommend this property for a true Northwoods experience.
The cabin was gorgeous-just as pictured. The location was perfect! Short drives to several lakes and hiking trails-had a great time paddle boarding and hike at Castle Mound was a great view. Todd and Sandra were so nice and their dogs were super friendly and my daughter fell in love with them :) Didn't need any AC because the cabin was shaded and great airflow at night with windows open. If you want a fun active nature Get-a-way but without the hassle of a bunch of camping stuff-choose this cabin!!!!! We couldn't be more appreciative of the wonderful accomodations and will definitely be reserving again.
The property is beautiful! The cabin is quite large. It’s an extension of the main home cabin, very private. The window wall was lovely for watching the thunderstorms and the sunrises.
The drive to the cabin was a bit long, but that’s what I would expect for a cabin in the north woods. Quiet, very low trafficked area even though it was 4th of July weekend and the lake is nearby.
Any stores or gas stations are about 15-30 minutes drive away, but not a difficult drive.
Many trails and Lake Arbutus are nearby and well kept. If you are into riding ATV, there are plenty trails near the cabin, most county roads leading to the cabin are ATV friendly.
The cabin is beautiful inside and out. It felt like coming home, not a rental property. The kitchen is large and well appointed. King bed in the master bedroom is quite comfortable. No TV, but with the view outside, who needs TV!
I’m hoping that we will get the opportunity to stay there again.
Awesome location deep in the woods. Was able to back in a 18ft trailer and truck, but much more would be difficult. Overall really liked the place and want to come back again.
