The house was great for our needs. Positives: Jonas is supremely welcoming. The hammock was PERFECT on the porch. It is a large home with a giant kitchen. Jonas was INCREDIBLY accomodating - even whipped up some yummy fish chowder when we arrived late after island restaurants were long passed serving. The negatives: The photos and info on the ad are a bit dated. The photo of the pier? The pier is long gone- likely since the hurricane in 2024 or before so it isnt easy to get in the water in the back. The kayaks? One was cracked through. The appliances were is mediocre shape. The microwave has a crack through the door that made me leery to use and there was a washing machine but was a small but functional milex. It was fine for the two of us but would be tough to use for a large family. Nearby activities listed a museum- thats been closed for 2 years. And we had a REAL shortage of towels. There were tons of sheets but only 1 beach sized towel and 3 bath towels- for 2 people for NINE night stays.I will say it was appropriately priced and is in a safe neighborhood. And I do not want to sound negative; we had a great experience. I just was expecting a small pier & easy access to the water as we are scuba divers. BUT you have to climb out on some slick rocks without the pier and even on calm water days- it wasnt easy.We did use the kitchen every day and there were lots of tools to use. There was a cooler we used everyday in the car- that was very useful as we explored.
