About this property

LOVELY COTTAGE IN THE LOIR VALLEY 1h from the Châteaux & 40 min from le Mans

Ideal location for a family holiday of a friends reunion.
The property has been rated 4 stars by the French Tourism label Atout France ( Sep 2023).

The cottage (Longère) is hidden in a park of 10 acres, in serene nature with no neighbourhood. You are the only guests, close to a nice village (500 yards) where you can find a boulangerie, a grocery store, a chemist and a medical centre.

You can stroll in the park along green pathways, a few benches waiting for you in clearings or view spots. With a bit of chance, you will see roe dear, squirrels, pheasants, partridges and various birds.
The pool (10X4 m) - located next to the house - is private, covered and fenced, with a lovely view on the village and meadows. And reserved solely for you.

The cottage comprises on the ground floor a kitchen & dining room, two living rooms , a cellar and a bathroom over roughly 150 m2.
On the top floor, there are 4 bedrooms, a TV corner and two bathrooms over approximately 130 m2.

The Loir Valley is a lovely region located between Tours and le Mans.

Lovely, unique holiday property with room for family and extended family. Walking distance to village, although boulangerie shut in August. Very large garden with lovely view over valley & town. Some paths overgrown, but still lots to explore. Quiet local roads & old railway line ideal for running / walking / cycling. Pool was highlight for keeping family entertained. Fenced in and well kept.Communication with Michel was excellent.Overall would recommend home and location for relaxing family holiday.

A very cosy house with a beautiful, large garden with lots of seating areas and lovely views. We had a wonderful time here and hope to come back again.

We loved staying at this amazing house in the beautiful Loire Valley. We visited castles and old monasteries, Les Mans and swam in the pool every day. It was easy communication with the host and if we needed help, the help came fast. The house is so unique and personal and beautifully decorated with art everywhere. Every room has its own charm! The only thing we want to recommend is that the kitchen and the kitchen bowls, pots, pans and glasses would need some cleaning. Other then that it was a wonderful stay!

The house is very atmospheric, full of interesting furniture, and paintings by the owner. It was at a comfortable temperature even in the middle of a heatwave. Beyond the pleasant area near the house, with a big table and chairs sheltered by a magnificent wisteria, are extensive grounds to wander in. Seating is provided at many points. (The items for playing in the pool were in a poor state - but perhaps they had been left by other guests)The nearby village is sadly diminished, with the only bar and restaurant closed. The boulangerie was temporarily closed for the baker’s August holiday, but a replacement service was helpfully offered at the nearby Mairie, a five-minute walk from the house.

Fabulous house with pool

Such a beautiful house, in lovely grounds. Close to village. Large pool, really wonderful holiday. Michel is a wonderful host, he was incredibly helpful.

We enjoyed a lovely week here. Michel was helpful before making the booking and provided helpful information on arrival too. The rooms in the house were comfortable and all the bedrooms were a good size. Excellent provisions in the kitchen. The pool was a great hit with everyone in our family and with the weather so warm we used it a lot! A nice daily walk into Courdemanche for fresh bread and pastries from the boulangerie was a real bonus. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic house

A beautiful house, full of charm and character, and fantastic grounds to explore. Wonderful views over the village and an idyllic, secluded and private setting; even nicer than it looks in the photos! Lovely swimming pool and seating area around it. Very easy walk into the village to visit the boulangerie. Michel was extremely helpful with all questions, and we had a lovely welcome from the property manager. We had two lovely weeks with our young children here and would highly recommend this house for families.

Stay in Courdemanche

Excellent house and pool with plenty of space and importantly, enough bedrooms, bathrooms and showers for eight people, a family group including 2 under 2years of age. Set in deep countryside with beautiful views over the village. Relatively close enough for visits to châteaux of the Loire. Big hypermarket (E. Leclerc) 20 minutes away. Some inclement weather during our stay but enough hot days for swimming and lazing around the pool area. Great holiday. Chris W

Une superbe semaine passée à Courdemanche! Nous étions 2 familles et nous avons pleinement profité de la piscine, de la maison et de la région: canoë sur le Loir, visite au clos Lucé, padel, accrobranche et promenades. La maison est immense, bien équipée, très chaleureuse.

Great family holiday

Lovely character property at the edge of a quiet village. The house is well equipped, spacious and has lots of outdoor space for eating, playing or lounging. The newly installed pool was very popular with my family and is well maintained by the owners local manager.

Magnifique propriété

Parfaitement située sur les hauteurs de Courdemanche la propriété de Michel est de toute beauté. Vaste et très confortable nous avons passé en famille deux semaines de rêve. La demeure est entourée d’un immense parc et la vue sur le village est charmante. Absolument à privilégier si vous souhaitez un endroit calme et ressourçant.
