This cabin and surrounding area is always so beautiful, quiet and relaxing. This is my second time renting this specific cabin and I love the comfort and cleanliness!!
The cabin was the perfect size for quick weekend getaway. Neighborhood was quiet. Cabin and surrounding properties were very clean and well kept. I really enjoyed having my morning coffee and an afternoon read on the back patio. Our weekend stay was very relaxing!
We used to have a cabin in Overgaard for 13 years and always loved it there. Some our far fondest memories we’re raising our daughter up there. This cabin was located perfectly, loved the lake and park across the back deck, also the playground for children is great. It is well, accommodated and extremely clean. We would definitely recommend this cabin and we would love to stay there again sometime in the future.

Nice peaceful cabin experience
Nice little cabin in a quiet and pine tree filled area. This cabin is located across from a small fishing pond. The overall area is a lovely environment. You can enjoy small town restaurants and shops. Bison Ranch has a coffee shop wine bar that features live piano entertainment on Saturday nights. This was our anniversary and we enjoyed spending time in front of the cozy stone fire palace. Also, the cabin has a nice kitchen to prepare meals in. We can recommend this place and would consider staying there again.
The inside of the cabin was very comfortable and clean. Everything besides our food & personal items was provided. Nice area. The internet was unreliable, so if you need it for work that could be a problem. The yards, both front and back were poorly maintained.
We were looking for an affordable stay near the rim that allowed dogs and the accommodations were suitable for those needs. AC was valuable. The kitchen was well equipped for meal prep. This is a well-used rental, but completely functional. Adjust your expectations and enjoy the outdoors.
This was just what we needed, a quiet get away. Bison Ranch is a wonderful community with lots of space to go for a walk or hang out at the park with a lake. The gas fireplace was a big plus since you could turn it right on when you wanted and off when you wanted. No waiting up for fire to burn out. We took a drive all the way up to Big Lake to see color changing leaves and were lucky enough to wake up to snow on our last morning. The cabin had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.
We had a nice little getaway at the Bison Ranch cabin. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the fresh air and community water view across the way. We ordered food from the local restaurant and it was so close we could have walked there. The kids bedroom was great with the bunks. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our breakfast and had everything we needed to cook. It was great for our little family and worked with our budget. The host was also extremely quick to respond when we couldn't figure out the AC system.
If you want to go more into the woods, it's only short drive to the woods where we were able to find a nice spot and have a picnic. We'd stay again and appreciate the affordability.

Needs renovations/repairs
Check-in, check-out and communication is good but the place desperately needs to be renovated and needs repairs. Carpet in front of the bathroom is torn up and my kids kept stepping on the exposed tack strip. There were holes in the floor in the kitchen and ants and other bugs all over in the kitchen.
Bison Ranch is a beautiful, nice and mellow community. It is a great place to escape city living. The cabin had everything we needed. Our 4 and 6 year old caught their first fish at the catch and release pond across the road from the cabin! The kiddos loved the bunk beds and the closet FULL of toys. There is a splash pad across the way from the community to cool the little ones down on hot days.
Their is a grill, full kitchen (with good pots and pans) and plenty of areas to have a picnic. I recommend bringing your own food and not relying on restaurants or take out. I also recommend bringing your own linens and towels for a more comfortable stay.
We loved the cabin and especially loved that it was dog friendly so we could bring the whole family.

Bed too high, left early.
The queen bed was so high that I could not climb onto it, and there was no step stool. I had to sleep on the bottom bunk bed and my husband on the couch. We were very uncomfortable, so left a day early even though we couldn't get a refund. We were also surprised that we had to pack out our trash. The town dump/transfer station was closed, so we had to drive our trash home with us. The cabin was clean and we noted the holes in the floor, mentioned in prior reviews. The kitchen seemed well equipped, (we didn't use anything) but the fire extinguisher was empty. No wash cloths provided but there were towels in the cabinet. (we took our own, did not use theirs). The toilet was less than standard height, another issue. There was a nice selection of movies, games and toys for kids and it had a quiet view out the back of the fishing pond across the street.
The cabin was wonderful!! Great location and it had everything you would need for a few days or even longer! The pictures don't do it justice. The bed was a little firm, but it was a really nice stay.
Thank you!
