About this property
A beautiful, peaceful Smoky Mountain retreat with views. Sleeps 14.
This cozy cabin is tucked away on the peaceful side of the Great Smoky Mountains. We have created a comfortable yet beautiful space for you to enjoy and create lasting memories. You'll love the open floor plan and view out the main area windows. Enjoy the hot tub and wood burning fire place (seasonal) cuddled up with your loved ones. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax with friends and family, this place is for you.
The Space: There are just a few steps to navigate from the driveway to the covered front porch. From the porch you walk into the main level which hosts the primary bedroom with a king size bed, bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining, large deck, screened in porch, grilling deck and the laundry room. Upstairs we have two beautifully decorated bedrooms (one king and one queen), and a full bathroom. There is also a cozy open loft that includes a twin daybed with a twin trundle, and a workstation with a monitor and common adaptors to plug in your laptop. On the bottom level there are three bunk beds (6 full-size beds) along with a ping pong table, foosball table, another full living room, large tv, and a retro gaming console. The kitchen is very well stocked to accommodate cooking for a large group. Numerous pots, pans, cooking utensils, waffle maker, instant pot, blender, and electric griddle makes it like cooking at home. There is an additional refrigerator/freezer in the main level laundry room to store all your groceries. We also have the following coffee/tea options: Nespresso, regular coffee pot, french press and an electric kettle. Our hot tub and hammock are located in a cozy setting on the lower deck.
A few details to note: We are in a private community with some full time residents, to respect the neighborhood we keep the quiet hours of 10pm to 7am. The HOA does not allow any recreational vehicles or trailers in the driveway.
The area: The Townsend area is preferred by many due to all the beautiful nature and lack of crowds you'll find in Gatlinburg. We are very conveniently located to the Smoky Mountains and some popular areas like Cades Cove and Tremont. There are several nearby creeks, rivers and of course hiking trails. The private mountain community is very safe and centrally located, just a couple miles off Hwy 321. We hope you truly enjoy your stay and make lasting memories! Feel free to reach out with any questions regarding the cabin and area.

We had a great time with a large group of family including 8 children. We loved the location. Any issues with the property were quickly addressed by owners.
We’ve been staying in VRBOs for about 10 years and this one is our absolute favorite! It was very clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. It felt like we were staying at a family member’s cabin- very “homey” and inviting. The kitchen had everything in it we needed- including a pastry blender for when I made coffee cake! Appreciated the seasonings and other pantry items we could use too. The cabin had plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, dishes, card games. I loved there was some firewood by the fireplace! The deck was one of our favorite parts- the views of the mountains won’t be forgotten! Plenty of seating for our family of 11 out there too.The 5 kids loved the basement and their own deck area too. The hot tub was a huge perk for them! The drive from the main road up to the cabin is about 6 minutes- but that gives plenty of opportunity for bear sightings. We all saw bears on the drive up or down. I love the location- Townsend is not too far from the busy areas of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but also has plenty of shopping and dinning options locally. We were also able be get Walmart grocery deliveries to the cabin. There is a Dollar General just up the road too. We had to reach out to the host twice prior to our arrival and once while there and it was very easy to get ahold of her. She was very helpful with our questions too. We loved the snacks left for our arrival. Thank you!!
This house was perfect!! It felt super secluded even though it is in a neighborhood. You could not see any other homes from this house. All of the rooms were nice and clean. However, the grease trap on the grill was completely full. The bunk room is absolutely perfect for kids! We would definitely stay here again!
We loved the secluded feeling of this property. The bunk room was perfect for our kids and the porches were perfect for relaxing at all times of day. The home included some thoughtful touches for guests that made our stay even more enjoyable. Would recommend without hesitation!
Wonderful place to stay for a Smokey’s base camp. Location is hard to beat, the views were amazing, and the living spaces were wonderful for hanging out and winding down after long days at the Park. Thanks to our host for being helpful, easy to work with, and unbelievably accommodating. Will hopefully be back soon!
Kindall’s cabin was the perfect place for a weekend friends get together. The kitchen had everything we needed, the location was great (no crazy driveways or insanely steep roads). We had 12 people staying and there was more than enough room with the full size bunk beds. We received a very cute welcome basket with snacks and coffee. I would definitely stay here again in the future!
This cabin was perfect for our entire extended family, from infants to grandparents. This cabin is nestled into a quiet hillside with easy access to Townsend and the Smokies. The views from the deck are unparalleled, and the house itself offers multiple amenities. This cabin will be at the top of our list next time we visit Townsend!

Thank you for the great review, so glad you enjoyed your stay! We'd love to have you back :)
We came up for my daughter's 18th birthday weekend. We got to see lots of snow. We had so much fun. This cabin was perfect and beautiful. Will definitely come back here.
Well cared for home that has plenty of privacy. Loved the downstairs bunk room for the kids. That sealed the deal. Internet was a little slow which made streaming harder but we hotspot' d to one of our phones. Great kitchen that had everything you needed. Loved this house and will be back!
We try to go on a family trip every couple of years. The Smoky Mountains are our favorite. This house had every thing we needed to fill our bed and bath needs. The large dining and living area were great for family movies and family game nights. The game room downstairs was a hit with the young ones and the one ones! The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the extras like kid dishes. Great places to relax on the decks and porches and of course the hot tub!
Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house was just as described. The view from the large wrap-around deck was beautiful. I liked that we were not in a "Cabin-Community" with 30 other vacation properties within arm's reach of each other. The property was clean and well-appointed with everything one would need. I loved how the kids had the entire lower level with games, foosball and ping-pong, while the 3 bedrooms gave each adult couple their own room/space. We have had past vacations where we were disappointed in the accommodations, but not this time! We were pleasantly surprised that the property exceeded our expectations. We would not hesitate to book this property again.
This cabin was a great choice for our family vacation.
My family, including my children and grandchildren, loved the cabin. We saw a bear four of the seven days that we were there either on the drive in or in the parking area of the cabin. The down stairs area was perfect for the kids. They enjoyed having their own area with plenty of things to entertain them. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The best thing about the cabin was that we never ran out of hot water. We would highly recommend this cabin.

Thank you so much for the great review! I’m so glad everyone enjoyed the cabin and that you got to see so many bears, that’s always special! We’d love to have you back sometime :)
We loved loved this property so much! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was perfect for everyone; ranging from grandparents to a 9, 7 and 2 year old. It was nice not having to worry about things like plates for our toddler!
The location couldn’t have been better! The neighborhood was quiet and not too far from things to do. We even saw a couple of bears walking down the road.
This property will definitely be on our revisit list!

Thank you for the great review! I’m so glad you enjoyed the cabin and got to see wildlife! We’d love to have y’all again :)
This newly renovated, spacious property is pleasantly decorated and has everything you could want as far as kitchen equipment, dishes, coffee makers (including an espresso machine). The bunk beds, which have double mattresses, also have stairs instead of ladders; a plus.
Nestled in trees, lots of windows, a grill and hot tub. We were almost in heaven! We even saw a bear, which scurried away.

About the host

Our family lives in the East Tennessee valley area not far from these beautiful mountains. We find ourselves visiting often and wanting to stay longer. My kids really love playing in the near by creeks and exploring new trails. There are some great swimming holes that we frequent often as well. This cabin is a dream for us as a family and we hope you can enjoy it as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We chose the Townsend area because we love its rural old town feel and it's closeness to the Great Smoky Mountains, Cades Cove, Foothills Parkway, Treemont, creeks and rivers. Pigeon Forge (30min) and Gatlinburg(45min) are close enough for day trips!
