We had a lovely visit, the condo is as pictured. The bedrooms are perfectly situated with nice bathrooms for family of 8. The location is great the only challenge is the busy road that it is on, which can be quite loud but the location and views and activity on the beach is worth it.
We all had a great time. The views can't be beat and we saw whales every day. It was perfect for 6 people. Very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed
Penthouse had the most amazing views! Kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. We even stoked up the BBQ two nights. Beds were clean and comfy. Plenty of room for the 8 of us. Elvira is the sweetest and Stephany was very helpful. The washer and dryer in the unit was handy for washing beach towels (which were provided). Nice basic workout room on site. Took surf lessons right in front of Las Olas from the surf school next door.
We’ve stayed at Las Olas many times and always had great experiences—until this stay. This penthouse unit is in terrible condition: broken fixtures, burned-out lights, and an overall lack of maintenance. But the true concern was the serious breach of safety. One afternoon, our four children (ages 7–16) were resting alone in the unit while my husband and I went for a short surf. We assumed the penthouse would be private and secure. Shortly after we left, multiple workers entered without knocking or permission. In broken English, they said they were “working”—but even after seeing only children were present, they stayed. Our kids were scared, confused, and didn’t know how to respond. It was a shocking and completely inappropriate situation that no parent should have to worry about, particularly on vacation.Later that week, around 11 PM, another guest knocked on our door looking for a pack-and-play. The same owner also owns that unit and had failed to provide one, so they sent the guest to us instead. It was invasive, unprofessional, and reinforced the lack of boundaries and management. The ocean view is the only redeeming factor, but it doesn’t make up for the fear, stress, and total lack of security we experienced. We don’t typically write reviews, but we felt it was important to warn others. We do not recommend this unit—especially for families. Please take caution.— A deeply concerned parent

Unfortunately, I did not know anything about these workers coming until I read this review. Very poor communication from this guest. I would've really liked to have known if this occurred on our property so I could figure out what was going on and since,.of course, it is a safety concern. Since Kimberly has stayed at Las Olas many times she must know that there is a very tight security on the property so I'm assuming the workers were from the HOA but again, it would have been really nice to have been told about this so I could find out why they were there. I'm not sure why this wasn't communicated with me. The only communication I received from the guest was about some light bulbs being out(which were replaced the next day) and a breaker for the being flipped (which was immediately flipped back). Also, in regards to the crib...I called and messaged Kimberly multiple times asking if they minded if someone grabbed the pack n play from the condo since the cleaner forgot to take it from there before they arrived. They never responded to me, so someone knocked on their door to see if they could grab it really quick. I'm very sorry if this was very concerning...i didn't think of it as being a security breach to knock on the door but I really apologize if you felt that it was. This typically wouldn't even have been an issue at all as we have another one in our storage area on the property but our local manager had to leave out of town earlier that day as her mother was in the hospital and the person taking her place hadn't been able to pick the keys up for the storage area yet. They both had been reminded multiple times about making sure the crib was there, but I think our manager was preoccupied with her mother and simply forgot to follow up. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
This condo has the best view of the ocean and pool below. I could have just sat on that patio for hours and listened to the waves. We had four adult couples, no kids. Each couple had their own private room. Three of the rooms have balconies with ocean views and the sound of waves all night. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms. TStephanie, the property manager, was extremely informative. She sent me the documents and information a week before our trip. She even shared information from other renters on getting our covid tests, which was so helpful. My only issue, and it’s not the condos fault, is the only restaurant within walking distance is Zippers, which has great food and drinks, but it is a the only option and it is a little pricey but worth it if you don’t want to pay for a taxi or Uber. Overall, it was perfect for all of us. We couldn’t have asked for better. Thanks Stephanie!
